Annapurna Circuit Trek is the classical trekking route of Nepal. Normally, the trip is the detour route of Nepal Trekking, which requires 10–17 days. However, if you are short on time, you can do the trek in much fewer days as well. After lots of field research, travel planners at Nepal High Trek have knitted the Annapurna Circuit Trek 10-day itinerary. The itinerary is perfect for travelers without much risk of altitude sickness or hours of walking. Moreover, the construction of a hilly road from Besisahar to Manang has helped in knitting the short itinerary of the Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Can I use a Jeep to Manang to further shorten the number of trekking days?
No, it is not appropriate to take a Jeep beyond Chame. However, it is possible to use the four-wheel jeep to reach Manang. The risk of altitude sickness is very high if we take a jeep ride to Manang.

On arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, get transferred to hotels after being received by our guides and staff. At hotel check-in, join in for a group briefing regarding treks and other useful information and required trekking stuff.
Day 02: Drive to Besisahar 760 m – 08 hrs.

In the morning, the drive leads you away and beyond Kathmandu Valley, heading to lower, warmer areas with views of snowcapped mountains to reach Nepal's mid-west, around the Lamjung area in Besisahar. It takes 8 hours by local bus, and you can explore the courtyard with a scenic view of the Trishuli River and thrilling mountain ranges.
Day 03: Drive from Besisahar to Chame by local sharing jeep 2670 m – 05 hours.

Chame
After breakfast, we will drive to Chame. The Chame is the headquarters of the Manang district. The road is unpaved, but you can see the stunning scenery of multi-authentic villages, various landscapes, pine forests, hills, and a delightful view of Mount Manaslu. The road goes through the Marshyangdi River, and it’s a challenging drive to Chame. From Jagat, the walk begins on a winding path to Chamje. Chame is a small mountain town located at 2670 m above sea level, where you can spend a beautiful time.
Day04: Trek from Chame to Pisang 3, 230 m – 7/8 hrs.

Manang
From here onward, the walk gets closer to the mountains, heading through a beautiful alpine forest and following the Masrsyangdi River upstream to Bhratang village. As the walk heads uphill into pine trees to Dhukure Pokhari, a small place with few lodges and views of Chulu and Pisang Peak, after a lunch stop, walk downhill to Pisang village for an overnight stop.
Day 05: Trek from Pisang to Manang Village 3,450 m – 6/7 hrs.

Manang
Pisang village is situated within Manang Valley, facing stunning mountain views where altitude gains slowly from here onward, as the walk takes you to a short uphill with views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu, and Pisang peak to reach Hongde village. From here, tree lines fade to barren, arid landscapes as the walk leads to Manang village. On route, visit the old Braga monastery, enriched with Buddhist relics, ancient wall paintings, frescoes, and a superb panorama of Annapurna Himalaya. From here, it's an hour’s walk to Manang village.
Day 06: Rest Day at Manang for local hikes and Acclimatization.

Manang
Rest day for acclimatization before heading to high altitude and crossing the Thorang La Pass. We would highly recommend the hike to Gangapurna Lake, and it’s an extremely beautiful lake in Manang Valley. Besides, explore Manang village beneath towering Annapurna and Gangapurna peaks, a nice short hike up for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang glacial lake.
Day 07: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka 4,110 m – 4/5 hours.

Manang
After resting at Manang, walk to Yak Kharka, an interesting high-altitude walk facing views of mountains, crossing small streams to reach Yak Kharka, a small settlement with incredible views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Chulu Peaks.
Day 08: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m – 4/5 hours

Thorong La Pass
The morning walk leads closer to Thorang-la as the walk progresses, crossing a bridge and then a climb along the Jarjung River, then leading to Thorung Phedi for a short rest, and then climbing the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for an overnight stop.
Day 09: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m – 7/8 hours

Muktinath Temple
Starting early in the morning to reach the highest point of the great adventure, after breakfast, climb up to Thorang-la at 5,416 m, marked with Buddhist prayer flags, which offers superb vista landscapes and snowcapped peaks. From here, a long descent to Muktinath at 3,800 m Muktinath is a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists; the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana, or liberation.
Day 10: Drive to Pokhara by local deluxe bus – 10 hrs (810m)

Pokhara
Today you must drive to Pokhara. It’s challenging with a scenic drive to explore the various views of the magnificent place too. After Muktinath, the rest of the journey is easier with an exciting scenic drive all the way downhill with a big drop of 1,200 m to Kaligandaki river valley. As the ride leads at Kaligandaki river valley, from here heading past Jomsom, the headquarters town of the Mustang area with a small airstrip above Kaligandaki River, through Marpha village, as the drive leads downhill past Lete. The journey begins between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, forming the world's deepest gorge of the Kali-Gandaki River.
Day 11: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure.

Morning from Pokhara, an exciting overland journey back to Kathmandu en route to observe farm villages and towns, and then reach Kathmandu by afternoon. The rest of the day is free for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.

5.00Booked ACT, travelled as a group of 4 from Australia. Our compliments to Nepal High Trek. Anjan was very professional, responded to all my questions promptly and organised us from the moment we arrived. We had so much fun! All we had to do was packed our gear. Arbind our guide, who is amazing, genuine, warm and friendly. He has exceeded all our expectations. Very knowledgeable and made sure we had fun. He exercised good judgements when we had the snowstorms (discused all options) while up in the mountain. We had to change plans and we still achieved our goal!. To our quiet young strong porter, "Dodi", well mannered and always offering his generous smile. Thank you for carrying some of our gear, we have enjoyed your company.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful experience trekking the Annapurna Circuit with our guide, Arbind. He truly exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the very beginning, Arbind took exceptional care of us, always making sure we were comfortable, safe, and well-prepared for each day of the journey. His warm, friendly personality made us feel at ease instantly, and he was always approachable and happy to help with anything we needed. No question was ever too small, he answered everything patiently and with a genuine smile. His knowledge of the region, culture, and trekking conditions was outstanding. He provided valuable insights along the way, which made the whole experience even more meaningful and enjoyable. We felt very confident and safe under his guidance, especially when dealing with altitude and changing weather conditions. The tea houses he arranged for us were excellent, clean, comfortable, and often better than we expected given the remote locations. It was clear he put thought into selecting the best available options for us each night. What really stood out was how attentive and thoughtful he was. He regularly checked on our health and energy levels, adjusted the pace to suit us, and made sure we were acclimatising properly. 5.00I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience than I had with Anos and Tenjen as my guide and porter on the Annapurna Circuit. From day one to the very end, everything ran incredibly smoothly — no problems, no stress, just a well-organized and enjoyable journey through some of the most incredible mountains on earth. Anos delivered truly top-tier service the entire time. Every detail was handled with care, from pacing and daily planning to making sure I was comfortable, safe, and well looked after. I always felt informed about what to expect each day, and completely confident in his experience and decision-making. That peace of mind made a huge difference, especially at higher elevations. Tenjen is a kind, loving soul with great determination…a very strong young man. What stood out most was how personally invested he was in my experience. I never felt like just another client — I felt genuinely cared for and supported the whole way. Watching other groups along the route made it clear how high the standard was with Anos. The level of organization, attention, and overall treatment I received felt far above what many other companies were providing. Unforgettable 10-Day Annapurna Circuit Trek – Outstanding Guide and Cultural Experience

5.00I did the 10 day Annapurna Circuit trek as a solo female traveler, and it was one of the most meaningful travel experiences I’ve ever had. A huge reason for that was my guide, Shanta. From the very beginning, Shanta made me feel completely comfortable and safe as a solo traveler. He was incredibly attentive, always checking in on how I was feeling, making sure I was well fed, properly acclimatizing, and comfortable with the pace. All logistics were handled smoothly, which allowed me to fully enjoy the trek without stress. What really set this experience apart were the cultural moments Shanta intentionally included. He took me to a monastery and took the time to explain the prayer wheels and their significance, which gave much deeper meaning to what we were seeing along the trail. Since we were trekking during Tihar in October, he also involved me in a traditional Tihar game, which was such a special and unexpected highlight and made me feel truly welcomed into the culture. Unfortunately, our trek had to be cut short due to an unexpected snowstorm. Even in a stressful and unpredictable situation, Shanta remained calm and proactive. He coordinated closely with other guides to safely arrange our descent and made sure I felt informed, supported, and safe every step of the way. Despite the circumstances, I never felt panicked or unsure, I felt taken care of. If you’re considering the Annapurna Circuit, especially as a solo traveler, I can’t recommend Shanta enough. His professionalism, cultural knowledge, and genuine care turned what could have been a challenging experience into one I’ll never forget.

5.00I recently completed a trek with Buddhi Tamang as my guide, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Buddhi was incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and attentive from start to finish. He made sure everything ran smoothly, checked in often to ensure were were comfortable, and went above and beyond to make the journey enjoyable and safe. What stood out most was his calm, caring nature and genuine enthusiasm for sharing local culture and the beauty of the region. I’ve had many guides over the years, but Buddhi truly set the standard — professional, supportive, and an absolute pleasure to travel with. If you’re considering a trek in Nepal, I can’t recommend Buddhi Tamang highly enough. You’ll be in excellent hands.

5.00I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit and had an incredible experience. Everything was well-organized from start to finish. The itinerary, accommodations, and daily stops were thoughtfully planned and ran smoothly. The views were breathtaking, with every day offering something new from lush valleys and waterfalls to snow-covered peaks and mountain villages. A thank you to my guide, Rajenra, who did a great job. He was polite, knowledgeable about the area, and always made sure I was comfortable and safe throughout the trek. I also appreciated how flexible the team was, they were able to make adjustments along the way based on preferences, which made the trip feel very personalized. I highly recommend this trek and the team that organized it.
