His deep knowledge of the wildlife, the terrain, and the conservation efforts at Aquila brought every moment to life. David’s passion was contagious—he didn’t just point out animals, he told their stories. Whether it was spotting elephants in the distance or explaining the behavior of a lounging lion, he made sure we felt connected to the land and its inhabitants. The reserve itself is breathtaking, with wide open landscapes and a rich variety of animals. We saw rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and even the elusive hippo! The lunch was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout.
