This is the BEST way to make the most of your time on the Aran Islands.
Inisheer is the smallest of the 3 Aran Islands. It’s located just 20 minutes off the coast of Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher.
Once we arrive at the island, we get our bikes and head out for a 2-hour bike tour of the island. If you are not up for cycling, we can organize a tractor-drawn carriage tour for you at no extra charge.
After the tour, we will have home-baked scones and tea while hearing stories from a local islander!

Inisheer
As you step onto the Island, you will immediately grasp what Island life is all about. You will see horses, local farmers. You will hear Irish (or Gaelic) being spoken by the locals and you will smell the freshest air the Atlantic Ocean can provide. Time to tour the Island by bike! No waiting in line, your guide will have your bike rental taken care of. Your expert guide will show you around the Island. You will experience sunken graveyards, shipwrecks, castles, and much more. After your guided tour, your guide will bring you to a local cafe that has a reservation for you. No waiting in line here either, just walk in and enjoy! You will absolutely love this cafe by the way. Definitely try the scones! After lunch, you can enjoy your free time on the Island. People love to go to the pub for a pint, check out the playground with the kids, or simply chill on the beach! You will meet your guide back at the pier where we will board the ferry en route back to Doolin.

3.00Tour guide was very friendly and helpful but we found that it was not as fun as all the reviews we read. Went on horse and cart and very informative but when it ended with about 30-40 minutes later we had to explore the island on our own. We could have just paid for the boat trip and explored the island ourselves or hired a horse and cart ourselves. Honestly a bit disappointed but the island is beautiful and the little cafe with scones was amazing. Neat scones and chocolate cake ever. The cafe was the best highlight of the island.

5.00We had an amazing time on our tour, the island was beautiful. Our guide and the staff at the bike shop were so helpful making sure that our 10 month old was safe and comfortable in his bike trailer seat. If you aren’t accustomed to biking, I would recommend upgrading to e bike when you get there. There are 3 moderate hills, not long and totally fine to walk up them with the bike.

5.00This experience was so unique! Murphy was incredibly knowledgeable and Ronin was helpful and engaged the group! Murphy had great recommendations on where to eat and enjoy the remainder of our day. We lucked out with the most beautiful weather, but I can see that this excursion would be a favorite. The island is stunning and natural. *Be sure to choose the e-bike if you aren’t ready to ride uphill!

5.00The bike trip to Inisheer was a highlight of our week trip to Ireland. Our guides Murph and Ronan were great. They shared lots of fun information about the island and the quaint Cafe at the end was a nice way to end the excursion. Loved it

5.00Murph & Ronan were excellent guides! Murph had details and stories about the island to make it extra interesting! Una's scones were a fabulous treat! The biking was a challenge on the steep hills but plenty of breaks were taken.

5.00We loved our Aran Islands bike tour with Simon. He was knowledgeable, great sense of humor—and patient, even when he had to track down a couple of people in our group who went their own way. The island was fascinating and beautiful—a glimpse of another world. Plus fabulous tea and scones at the end. Highly recommend!!

5.00Beautiful scenery. Our tour guide Cearbhuil was lovely and so helpful. Definitely add on the ferry ride to see Cliffs of Moher if you haven't seen them yet - gorgeous way to see them. Communication with the tour company was perfect. Ending the tour with scones and tea was a picture-perfect way to end, and the lovely person who spoke to us there was a delight.

5.00Do yourself a favour and do this tour!! Loved every minute, Ollie is such a character and showcases Inis Oirr through accessible history along with funny stories from his childhood. The perfect insight into life on the island! Ollie really looked after everyone in the group individually and although I did it solo, everyone on the tour was laughing and having a pint at the end, facilitated by Ollie’s inclusion! The homemade scones with a local family run cafe, where Ollie organised the owner to come and give his perspective on living on Inis Oirr, was just an another amazing element. I upgraded to the e-bike and was happy I did, some of the hills are difficult so this just let me enjoy the experience that bit more. Those with high fitness levels wouldn’t be fazed by them though! Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!
