We begin our tour at the famous Arusha Clock Tower, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and a proud symbol of Arusha’s identity. Built during the colonial period, the tower is believed to mark the midpoint between Cairo and Cape Town, placing Arusha at the very heart of Africa. As we gather here, I’ll share stories about how Arusha grew from a small trading post into the safari capital of Tanzania, now known as the gateway to world-famous destinations like Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Mount Kilimanjaro. The Clock Tower is not only a historical marker but also a beloved meeting place for locals, often used as a starting point for important events and city life. We’ll take time for photos, introductions, and a warm welcome so you feel comfortable before our adventure begins. This is the perfect spot to set the tone for our tour, giving you both a sense of direction and a deeper appreciation for the city’s unique place in African history.

Mining process – how the gem is carefully extracted from deep within the earth. Cultural and economic significance, showing why Tanzanite is often called “a thousand times rarer than diamonds.” Sparkling displays and craftsmanship – admire beautifully cut stones and learn how they are transformed into fine jewelry. I enjoyed an exciting five hour walking tour around the markets and monuments of Arusha , with the very knowledgeable and careful Honest. He took time to answer all the questions and showed all the little things one might not notice along the way. It gives a great introduction to Arusha itself on my first morning in the city.

We had amazing time in Arusha city with our local guide Honest he is very passionate guide and smiles every time. He made us understand the city very well history, culture, markets and arts were incredible. This tour holds a lot of things to know and get in touch with. I traveled alone, and Honest made me feel completely safe, welcome, and cared for from the very beginning. He truly lives up to his name — kind, genuine, and absolutely trustworthy. Throughout the tour, Honest shared so much knowledge about the local culture, history, and people with great enthusiasm and passion. His explanations were fascinating, and he always made sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. Even though I was by myself, he made me feel like I was exploring with a friend. He went out of his way to personalize the experience, stopping for the best photo spots, helping with local tips, and even checking that I had everything I needed. His sense of humor and warmth made the day fly by. If you’re traveling solo and want someone reliable, friendly, and deeply passionate about what he does — I can’t recommend Honest enough. He turned my trip into a memory I’ll never forget.

This experience was incredible, Honest was very passionate and informative guide. He made me feel that a tourist. We joined Honest’s Arusha city Experience as group of friends and it was honestly one of the best parts of our trip! He made us feel safe, welcomed, and treated us more like friends than tourists. We explored local markets, tried street food, learned the history behind important landmarks, and even met amazing local artisans. What we loved most was how personal and relaxed the tour felt. Nothing rushed, just real Arusha life. If you want an authentic experience with a guide who truly cares, this is one. Highly recommended!

Honest was amazing guide and knowledgeable as well he managed to answer all of our questions and we got to know Arusha city in deep. We explored different important landmarks in Arusha, local markets and local art places. This was incredible experience since our guide had a lot to share. We really appreciated this experience and I recommend to anyone want to go know about Tanzania history and culture. Full of local vibes!

I had incredible Experience in Arusha city. My local guide made this experience extraordinary and i honestly liked this tour. It was my first day and i felt completely safe in the city with Honest. I recommend this experience as the way to learn Tanzania history and make new local friends.

Honest is such amazing guide, first, he reached us at our hotel and it was easy since we started with him. He was very informative and made us enjoy this experience than we expected. We spent all four hours to explore most important places in the city and we enjoyed a lot. I highly recommend to anyone want to explore such a great City.

Had an incredible day with Honest! Very informational day. Honest was very knowledgeable in answering all of our questions. Bring good walking shoes. He does an amazing job talking about his city as well as taking any detours that you would like to. This excursion is great for anyone that wants to learn more about Arusha and Tanzania! (The bad review is irrelevant, don’t pay attention to it!!!) Asante sana!
