This was a full day learning about the history of plantations and civil rights in the city of Atlanta. Our guide, Henry was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to weave a wonderful story that took us all the way from Africa to modern day Atlanta. This trip is highly recommended. With Henry!

Fabulous lunch and experience at Magnolia Tearoom. Scones were light, sweet and flaky along with the orange honey butter. The chicken salad was fabulous atop a mixed green, cranberry, tomato and cucumber mixture. Would definitely visit again!

Henry was a fantastic guide, providing insights, background and little known facts behind the old South’s plantation culture, the US Civil War and the Civil Rights movement… best tour we’ve been on across multiple countries.

Not really sure what to say on top of the reviews that have already been posted. Other than to agree that Henry was so knowledgeable and accommodating to our questions. He takes you on a journey through history, building the story bit by bit. I’ve learnt so much. It’s going to take me some time to process all I heard and understood about history.

When we booked this tour, we didn’t anticipate the wealth of knowledge that Henry would have. This tour was engaging & very informative. Henry did an amazing job not only informing the adults, but including my 11 year old son who was along to learn as well. Since the end of the tour, we’ve had several discussions about what was learned and how fun it was. I highly recommend this tour for anyone that is looking to learn the history of Atlanta. I would book this tour again.

A true Atlanta MUST! Henry was an amazing tour guide as we traveled thru the history of the south thru the eyes of a slave, from capture to equal rights! I would highly suggest this tour to history buffs from all over the world! The audio and video accompanying the tour were spot on! Thank you Henry for making the day such a success!

This tour started with the Rosswell plantations and the slave trade. I heard about the brutality, and the money invested in the slave trade. The buildings were beautiful- but at what cost? Then we went on to the civil war, and the history leading up to the fight for Atlanta was fascinating. And finally we came into Atlanta to see the birthplace, church and tomb of Dr Martin Luther King, but also see a bit of the history about how black people were treated and how the thriving neighbourhood was ultimately financially ruined. It was eye opening and I learned so much. I’m grateful to Henry for sharing his knowledge and enabling me to better understand parts of history that I hadn’t really grasped. It has been a great way to start my trip to Atlanta
