Driving off-road you will come into deep contact with the Dominican countryside, nature and the daily life of the inhabitants. This is no ordinary trip down a dusty road! The ATVs can accommodate 1 individual passenger or 2 passengers (shared)

Maimon

The fun adventure starts just 10 minutes from Amber Cove and 20 minutes from Taino Bay in a small village called Maimon. At the home base you will get your gear and a few safety instructions before you head off into the countryside. The tour starts with driving through the small local village Maimon. You will explore the Dominican nature and culture with a stop at an authentic little cigar rolling shack where you learn about cigars, sample of organic hot chocolate and coffee. There is a stop at a local beach where you can go for a swim if you would like to. Please remember to wear clothes that you don't care about, because you will get dusty and dirty.

Amber Cove

One of our best trips through Puerto Plata, full of trills and excitement, we take you in your ATV through rivers, fields and a natural tropical beach. An incredible 3-hour ATV tour, where you will see Dominican life and agriculture, from nature to the beach, at the end of our trip you will visit Maimon beach in Front of Amber Cove Port. The minimum age for the ATV'S driver is 16 years old

Great time with the family! Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty. The length was perfect .The kids loved it!

We had a 8:30 am, 3 hour ATV excursion booked. After walking outside the gate which took about 20 minutes, we inquired with some of the other excursion drivers where to go. They were kind enough to call the number on our printed ticket papers. Turns out our transportation was not there yet. After waiting awhile, a gentlemen told us he would take us to where the ATV place is. We then had a young man leading our ATV PACK OF “two”! Just is! An older gentlemen followed us. We enjoyed this excursion. At one point we swam in the water for about 25 minutes and we were the only people around. The entire trip only lasted about 2 hours probably due to the fact that it was just the two of us, but we loved having our own “private” trip.

Don’t wear anything that you do want to get dirty. Bring swim under your clothes for the beach, Get ready to have great time

This was well worth the price and such a fun experience… if you’re on the fence about booking it…BOOK IT!!!! They make sure you have a great time and even get video and pics as well l!

The ATV’s are not well maintained. They were hard to steer. Felt pressured to purchase items I didn’t want. The director of the group took us on trails for the more experienced riders.

Experience was great! It gave you more to see than just the beauty of the area but also the struggle and hard work. My husband and I had the opportunity to meet some great small business owners with wonderful stories!

ATV staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They treated us with care from beginning to end. The guy in charge spoke English. The views riding around the island were so beautiful. We also stopped at a local beach that had food/drink and souvenir stands. Be prepared to get dusty and a little wet. Take the goggles and mouth covering when offered. Wear close toed water shoes. Overall the ATV experience was a lot of fun! I highly recommend it!

This was the best ATV excursion i’ve ever done. For the price we got to do so much. Went to shops, drove through mud and water, saw all the local areas and even made a beach stop! That our guide let us have 50 mins to enjoy. Everyone was so nice and they even take pics and videos for you that you have an option to purchase at the end. Amazing quality pics at that!! Just do the excursion and you won’t be disappointed. I was afraid I was going to be late and miss my time but they will literally wait for the full group to be there. All in all I would 100% 10/10 fully recommend. Thanks Johnnay!! And Thanks Yunior for the amazing pictures!!

Very fun tour! We started a couple hours later than what I booked - so be aware the timing is not for you if you are hasty or on very tight timing. Aside from schedule the ATV tour we went on was well worth the wait and the price paid. We rode for hours through all terrain from main roads to beaches and along a small river stream. There was the typical stop at an artisinal shop and another brief stop at the beach. The shops accept credit card but next time I’d bring some extra cash for treats and tips for the crew. Personally I had an amazing time and will be looking to do this trip again with more friends and family when we return.
