  The experience was unforgettable, we had the chance to see and admire the Northern Lights in the best way possible. Our guide Manon, was super nice and Ricardo not only explained the natural phenomenon very well but also took several incredible photos. I recommend 100%.

  

  

• DISORGANISATION

  Total disorganization: The tour requires extreme punctuality, threatening not to wait for latecomers, and then making them wait more than an hour before departure. Basic communications about the length of the tour (2-9 hours) and not providing food and drink (promised instead in the online description) are given on the spot. I wish I knew before I could probably stay at -20 for 9 hours without food and hot tea. Once we arrived on site, we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights immediately, spectacular for about 20 minutes, from there on the situation worsened: the guides completely abandoned us without any explanation and taking away the bus that had accompanied us. Fortunately for us there was another guide, not from our group, who proved to be much more responsible and concerned for our well-being. It was he who lit a fire and welcomed us to a tepee, which was particularly important since there were also two small children in the group. We waited there for over two hours without receiving any information about the return or the Northern Lights themselves. When the two guides finally reappeared, as if nothing had happened, they gave no explanation and to the question: where is the return bus? they kept answering ‘in 10 minutes it will arrive’ for more than 1 hour. No attention to the group. In conclusion, apart from the Northern Lights — which was a gift from nature and certainly not the result of the organization — the experience fell far short of expectations. If these are guides I am a flying reindeer.

  

• Overpriced Tour with Poor Service – Not Worth Booking Directly

  My experience with Nordic Unique Travel was very disappointing. I had specifically booked a guaranteed tour, expecting better service and priority treatment, but there was absolutely no difference in how I was treated compared to others who booked through cheaper third-party websites. The guide barely paid attention to us and the overall service was poor. There was no proper coordination or customer care. Paying a higher price directly through their website felt like a complete waste of money. I would not recommend booking tours with them. It’s expensive and the service does not match the price or expectations.

  Juan was absolutely exceptional. From the very beginning, he was professional, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He put a lot of effort into finding the best possible spot to see the Northern Lights, and his experience really showed. He made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the whole trip, explained everything clearly, and was always patient and positive. Thanks to him, we had an unforgettable experience and were lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights in a beautiful setting. I couldn’t recommend Juan more — if you’re looking for someone reliable, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to giving you the best aurora experience, he is the perfect choice. Wendy, who was driving the other group, was also wonderful. Highly recommended!

  Dear Zak & Mohd, Thank you so much for guiding us on such an unforgettable Northern Lights adventure. Your passion, patience, and deep knowledge made the entire experience truly special. You carefully explained the science behind the Aurora, kept us comfortable throughout the journey, and never gave up in finding the best spots for us. Witnessing the Northern Lights dancing across the sky was absolutely magical, and it would not have been the same without your dedication and encouragement. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and professionalism. This will remain one of our most treasured travel memories.

  

• Hunting for the Northern Lights

  We did this aurora hunt, the conditions were not perfect, we left Rovaniemi at 19 and turned from north to south to hunt it, with poor results, very challenging journey we had to move across the border with Sweden, and then manage to find it, even if weak they succeeded in the enterprise, we returned to the agency at 5 am, the guide was Simona, nice, kind and a good pilot there was a photograto and another guy, all always kind and reliable, the only flaw at the desk of the agency Asian lady very arrogant and unhelpful. • False promises, no guaranteed tours

  We paid €138 per person for a "guaranteed" Aurora hunting tour that turned into a nightmare. We were shown a pamphlet where it clearly called out saying “SEE THE AURORA OR GET YOUR MONEY BACK” Despite the pamphlet stating a 4–5 hour duration, we were kept out for 8 hours, returning at 3:00 AM without seeing any Aurora activity. We were a group of 8 people in our van, out of which 7 people wanted to Claim the refund which was denied by the company. When we went to the office the next morning—as instructed—to claim our refund, they completely reneged on their promise. We spent 5 hours disputing this with management, but they used every excuse possible to deny us. They called the police on us to throw us out, while we were left helpless. They are clearly more interested in profit than honoring their own guarantees. Save your money and book with a more reputable company that values its customers.

  I went on the Aurora Guarantee tour and had an awesome time! My drivers name was Claudia and she was great! Had lots of interesting facts, funny stories, and all-in-all just an awesome person to be around, even at 1:30 in the morning. I would totally recommend this tour to people. It can seem like a lot of waiting around, but it is 100% worth the time and money to see the northern lights :)
