Our tour starts from Piazza dell'Odegitria, inside Bari Vecchia, the city's historic centre. Your local expert will be waiting for you at the palms near the Cathedral's front door. Let's the tour begin!

As we pass near the Cathedral of San Sabino, we’ll enjoy our first tasting: focaccia barese, Bari’s most iconic street food. Freshly baked, crispy on the outside and soft inside, it’s topped with cherry tomatoes and olives and perfectly represents the city’s simple, flavorful cuisine.

5.00Giuseppe was an excellent and friendly guide. We got good history tidbits along with the food stories. Really delicious bites. Super friendly and fun to chat with Giuseppe and the other couple. Ended the tour full and glad we chose this! Highly recommend!

5.00Giuseppe was excellent. He guided us through the narrow cobblestone streets of Old Town Bari and explained the historical significance of the areas. He introduced us to Bari street foods which were delicious! We were very full when we finished. Thank you Giuseppe!

5.00Giuseppe was excellent. He was able to walk us through the Old Town of Bari and show us out of the way places and explain the history to us. The street foods he introduced us to, were amazing and delicious. We were quite full when we finished!!!

5.00Nicholas was a gem of a guide—personable, knowledgeable and candid. As a native barese, he not only knew the best dishes to try, but the best restaurants to try them. We learned about and savored Focaccia Barese at Meh, the tenderest octopus sandwich with stracciatella and onions at lo sfizo del Borgo Antico, burrozza capocollo and panzerotto at Mastrociccio, and finished with swoon-worthy gelato at Antica Gelateria Gentile. He accompanied all of this with a guided tour through the labyrinthine alleys of Bari Vecchia, animating history with personal and often comical anecdotes. His stories of the nonnas and their orecchiette and how the old town has evolved from a perilous mafia stronghold to a tourist-friendly neighborhood were fascinating. He knows art and culture and takes contagious pride in his city.

If you want to have a great time without rushing, I highly recommend you to do it with Alessia as your guide: smiling, passionate and making real efforts to speak to us in French, which is very appreciable. A bubbly young woman, she likes to introduce Bari, explain everything you need to know about the city and share the best places to eat well 😃👌

5.00We had the tour as a couple together with Alessia. Bari is a very worth seeing town and Alessia was the perfect guide for our tour. We saw a lot, received a lot of information, asked a lot of questions and ate incredibly delicious. Great tour with a great, very experienced guide. The communication was great as Alessia speaks a super English. We can only recommend this tour! It's definitely hungry. There's a lot to eat.
