  We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable regarding the local cheese and chocolate shops. His tour through Basel covered historical topics as well as cheese tasting. He even helped us figure out the local public transportation system. We would definitely book another tour with this company again if we are lucky enough to return to Switzerland.

  This was a fabulous private tour starting at a pastry shop with tasty breads. Then Jonah took us to a small cheese shop to taste and learn about multiple cheeses and chocolates. So knowledgeable and interesting. Great tour.

• Be aware! Not as advertised!

  This is not as advertised. Add shows chocolate stores with lots of chocolate displays. It also says the chocolate tasting would be at Christmas markets. We ask about itinerary before starting tour and was told most of tour was across town it a little hole in wall store front (we already knew about the location because we were directed to the same location the day before for a tour and the store was closed. We were not notified of a cancellation, but no one was there. Another group waited with us outside in the cold and they had not been notified of a cancellation either ) We requested to cancel at this time because it was not the tour we had paid for. The tour guide said we needed to talk to her boss who was at that little store. We even had to supply our own tram tickets. Viator and vendor have refused to refund. The write up and pictures are not true. This is a bait and switch scam. When you view this tour don’t be influenced by the pictures because they don’t reflect what is actually offered

  Jonas, our guide, was wonderful! He answered questions, was super knowledgeable and friendly and gave us plenty of time and attention. I highly recommend this tour!

• Interesting information about Cheese and Chocolate.

  Our guide was great, very knowledgeable about cheese/chocolate. I would recommend that during the cheese and chocolate portion of the tour that chairs are provided for the attendants and something to drink, either water or wine as there is quite a bit of chocolate and cheese to consume.
