Join us on this unique and adventurous experience! The tour begins when your local guide, Marlon, meets you in front of Restaurante Fitzcarraldo in Iquitos (2 short blocks from the Plaza de Armas). You will then take a motokar to the Belen Market where you will explore many stalls of regional foods, drinks, spices, medicines and craft goods. The tour is designed so you can see hidden corners of the market and taste local fruits and delicacies. Ask questions along the way because Marlon is very knowledgeable and can help you negotiate!
To further this cultural experience, you’ll then take a boat ride along the Venice of Iquitos and see the daily life of the Belén neighborhood and people. Be sure to bring your camera and wear closed toe shoes!
Tour includes bottled water, transportation between attractions (motokar and boat) and select tastings within the market.

For the second portion of the experience, you’ll then take a boat ride along the "Venice of Iquitos" (Venecia Loretana) and see the daily life of the Belén neighborhood and people. You'll learn all about day to day life on the Amazon, and be encouraged to ask questions along the way. Be sure to bring your camera and wear closed toe shoes!

5.00Marlon was an exceptional guide! We enjoyed the boisterous market atmosphere and the different sounds and smells we encountered. The sellers were very kind. It was our first ride in a Tuk Tuk in Peru! We also loved seeing the lower Belen market and the floating houses. What an experience!

5.00The best National Park along with Ngorongoro Crater. We were a group of 6 people, designed the trip through the Serengueti and other national parks of Tanzania, and had amazing experiences that you can not miss. We saw all kinds of animals in their natural habitat, we saw several crossings of the great migration along the Mara River, idyllic landscapes, good camps and hotels, excellent food, and all accompanied by Kevin (whatsapp +255789773572), a local guide who speaks Spanish, and with his vehicle and great professionalism made us enjoy some exceptional days.

Michelangelo demonstrated a deep knowledge of the gastronomy of Iquitos and led us to discover the best places to taste the authentic and delicious flavors of the region. Dani, for his part, was an impeccable driver, always transmitting confidence and security. Thanks to them we live a real immersion in the Peruvian Amazon: we visit riverside communities, tour majestic rivers and explore markets full of color and exoticism, all framed in that special Amazon Mood. Highly recommended!

5.00Marlon is the perfect guide for Belen. Myself, wife (who is in fact Peruvian) and 10 year old daughter don't usually do "guided tours" but saw the reviews here and indeed Marlon tuned right in to our style. We messaged with him in advance, got the exact time and inclusive price sorted, and he met us on time at our AirBnB and off we went! Upper and lower Belen (during the dry season) was absolutely fascinating and rather intense. We've seen a lot of mercados in Peru but this was next level. Having him discreetly explain everything, checking in with his locals as we passed, and dive deeper into our questions was a complete education. Furthermore in our advance messaging he recommended us to Javier for a two day down river jungle stay which we have since experienced and that was similarly super. They are a network of passionate yet low key local experts. Marlon is highly recommended for all things Iquitos.
