  Our guide Hannah awaited us at the visitor centre and after a few checks our journey to the top of the Ben Nevis started. She is a wonderful guide and the journey was tough but fun. A guide is not a requirement but a pleasant way to climb and fully enjoy every experience

  

• Ben Nevis Springtime Summit via CMD Arete

  Myself and 3 other close friends booked for a spring time guided hike of Ben Nevis to summit via the CMD arete, a route which can be challenging depending on the conditions/snowfall and as always the conditions are unpredictable in the highlands. Scott at Elite was great at making the arrangements work for us, and ensuring we were suited with a guide, quick and helpful comms back and forward made the process smooth and reassuring. Our Guide for the day was George who kept us informed on conditions and equipment requirements in advance, and met us for an early start in the north face car park. The activity took around 8 hours and was approx £ 90 pp for a group of 4 people. On the day, George was fantastic - a very capable guide with a real passion for the area, and made the whole experience seamless, with added valuable lessons and advice from a local! We shared laughs and fired questions at George for hours and he was there with guidance every time. We took a lot away from the experience beyond the incredible views and landscape, and cant recommend Elite and George enough!

• Good experience, first timer

  I booked with Elite Guided walks Quick response, simple payment. My guide Craig was excellent. He came equipped with crampons and ice axe. I'd never used either before but he fitted my crampons before starting. Helpful to know the progress, 1/4 way, 1/2 way. We were exceptionally lucky with a clear sunny day but there was snow for a good section of the last part, crampons gave me confidence. Craig was good at recommending when to take a break, 2-3× both ways. Great conversation. We started at around 0830 and were back at 1625. • Winter skills and guided hiking

  Great experience. Cal was an excellent guide and we had 2 very enjoyable days learning winter skills and climbing Ben Nevis. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to hike the amazing peaks in Scotland

  Scott and Elite guides were a saviour at getting us booked at short notice. Our guide AJ was fantastic and we could no way have made it up without him! His knowledge of the route, when to break and add / remove layers was spot on! Also great company! Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing Nevis - especially in the winter!

  If you're thinking of a guided hike up Ben Nevis just book with these people, our family just completed a winter skills day and Nevis hike in some serious snow and really loved it, we cannot fault Elite at all. From the start Elite communicated well and were professional in all our dealings with them. James was our guide and was well organised, patient, reassuring and worked well with our groups pace whilst still managing to give us a gentle nudge to test ourselves which was all welcomed ensuring we got to the Nevis summit on a cold and snowy February day. What an experience, can't recommend it enough if you like a challenging adventure hike.

  Despite the extraordinary wind, my 14 year old boy and I had a fantastic time on the mountain. I can highly recommend this adventure and Elite Guides. Our guide, Craig, was excellent and a pleasure to spend time with. I would definitely use Elite Guides again and would recommend them.

  Such an incredible hike with James at Elite Guides, he kept me motivated and was great at advising me on all the best techniques. Really made it enjoyable and gave me the confidence to take on more hikes in the future. Also big thank you to Scott for such clear communication and organising it all! Will definitely be using them again and highly recommend for anyone taking on the challenge! Especially in winter - the weather is no joke and i wouldnt of been able to do it without Elite Guides support
