5.00This was a fantastic full day private tour! Scott was awesome! Started with a trip to the Featherdale Zoo in the morning and then enjoyed hiking and seeing the beautiful Blue Mountains. He took us to a great lunch spot as well, that had great options for vegetarians. He was very flexible when designing our itinerary, and very knowledgable about all things we asked of him about many varied Australia things of interest. We (my wife and 2 college-aged children) would highly recommend Your Sydney Guide!

5.00We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Your Sydney Guide, and our private Blue Mountains tour was the perfect way to begin our time in Australia. From the very start, Scott, the owner, was fantastic. He helped us secure a highly sought-after date, took the time to understand what mattered most to our family, and thoughtfully tailored the itinerary to match our interests. Most importantly, he paired us with Sam as our tour guide. Sam was, without question, the star of the day and one of the highlights of our entire trip to Australia. She was the perfect guide: warm, knowledgeable, flexible, and genuinely engaging. Her background in animal care, sanctuary work, and even venomous snake handling added incredible depth to everything we saw and learned in the Blue Mountains. She shared insights about wildlife, ecology, and everyday life in Australia that made the day both fascinating and fun — and the time absolutely flew by. What truly set Sam apart was how naturally she connected with our family. She instantly bonded with our 12-year-old daughter (who later declared Sam her favorite person she met in Australia), and even went out of her way to make a spontaneous stop at Woolworths to hunt down Pascall Clinkers — not on the itinerary, but unforgettable for our daughter. Sam was also a great photographer, a wonderful conversationalist, and even gave invaluable advice for driving on the left when we headed to Melbourne. Throughout the day, everything felt perfectly paced. We were always where we needed to be, yet never rushed, and Sam made it easy to adjust plans on the fly. Saying goodbye at the end of the tour genuinely felt sad — a true sign of how special the experience was. If you’re considering a tour, book with Your Sydney Guide. 5.00Charlie was amazing. Easy scheduling and he made some suggestions for small changes that enhanced our trip. He reached out a day or two before our tour and made these small suggestions. Saved us some frustration and lessened our wait times at places. He suggested a different route on our hike and it made all the difference. He helped us avoid crowds and his knowledge and backwoods experiences made our trip that much more amazing. I would not go with any other tour guide, ever.

5.00Scott was a tremendous guide -- friendly, informative, and engaging. The Land Rover was comfortable and clean, and he arrived at our hotel in plenty of time to pick up the five of us and head to the Blue Mountains in time for our abseiling reservation. The nicest surprise was that he brought his camera along and shot photos of me and my sons abseiling (and he promised to send them to me!). After abseiling he made a great recommendation for meat pies in Katoomba. Later he passed us on to his colleague Charlie, who was a gracious host to us even though we were starting to feel the effects of jet lag. He took us to the valley floor and we saw dozens of kangaroos, then he drove us all back to Sydney. Would highly recommend Your Sydney Guide, and the Blue Mountains make for a great day trip from Sydney.

5.00We did a private tour with Alex in early April. Can't not recommend this tour highly enough! We stopped at Featherdale Wildlife Park and got to see native 'roos, koalas and others up close. Then spent a lovely afternoon in the Blue Mountains. Absolutely gorgeous! And our guide Alex was super-knowledgeable and delightful. We learned about native plants, animals, birds, etc. Did a couple of nice short hikes that we never would have discovered on our own. A peacful and beautiful reprieve from the city!

5.00Charlie made our trip comfortable and super informative! We quickly grew to love his city and his hometown area of the blue mountains. We had such a wonderful day exploring the quaint towns! ( yummy local coffee and pastries) then a hike and a wealth of history in the blue mountains! It ended with a successful search for kangaroos in the wild! What an amazing and delightful day! He will cater your day to delight you! Thank you Charlie!

5.00Since we were a group of 13 in Sydney wanting to visit The Blue Mountains it made sense to book a private tour. After lots of research I settled on Scott with Your Sydney Guide, which was ABSOLUTELY the right choice. Scott picked us up in a very spacious bus and had a headset which allowed even those in the back to enjoy his commentary. We did a stop at Featherdale (trust me add this!) which was absolutely an amazing sanctuary to see all of the animals, and then onwards into the mountains. We did a few look out points, and a quick tour into Scenic World as well. He managed to find us a lovely pub for our lunch stop which only added to the trip. Cannot recommend Scott enough for a tour, he was funny, interesting, and overall left the day feeling like we had all made a new friend!

5.00Big applause and appreciation for our guide, Charlie, who led us on a memorable private tour of the Blue Mountains from Sydney. We opted for this adventure over our cruise ship’s excursion offerings, and it was clearly a smart decision. We took short hikes into beautiful areas we never would have seen on the ship tour and avoided the tourist traps and large groups. Our band of six loved wandering in search of wild kangaroos and wallabies, and we were not disappointed. Even a misty rain didn’t dampen our spirits as we saw lovely waterfalls and explored under-cliff wonders. We also enjoyed visiting the lovely town of Leura where Charlie introduced us to an amazing art gallery showcasing original woodworks. All in all, a fantastic day!
