On this tour, we’ll take a boat down the Tempisque River where we will see lots of river life such as the popular white faced monkeys howler monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles and a variety of birds that forage the river and its banks for food. After the hour and a half ride, we’ll go visit a wonderful place with lots of tico heritage and antiques. Here we’ll have a typical Costa Rican lunch – included in the tour price. Transportation throughout this half-day tour is provided in our luxury air-conditioned 22 passenger motor coach. Everyone loves the river tour!

On this tour, we will take a boat ride down the Tempisque River, where we will have the opportunity to see various forms of river life, including the popular white-faced and howler monkeys, iguanas, crocodiles, and a diverse array of birds foraging for food along the river and its banks. After the one-and-a-half-hour boat ride, we will visit a charming place with an abundance of Tico heritage and antiques. 5.00Christian was great! Very communicative leading up to the tour. The tour itself was great as welll. Our captain was able to point out so many animals. We saw lots of crocodiles, birds, iguanas, and he was able to find the monkeys and bring them close to us. It was a wonderful day!

5.00My wife and I booked Tico Adventures Tours for two excursions: the boat tour in Palo Verde with lunch at Rancho Los Coyotes, and the Llanos de Cortes Waterfalls, with lunch an animal tour in Bijagua de Upala. On the boat tour, we saw pretty much every animal minus the Jaguar, and the boat guide had eagle eyes and saw everything. The lunch at Rancho Los Coyotes was fantastic. The waterfalls were awesome for a swim and great for quality souvenirs, and we saw many sloths and some cool nature in Bijagua. We worked both times with Cristian, and he was great. Fun, communicative, informative, safe (he drove a lot for this!) - all things you want in a guide. Also, he used his network to get us cheaper tickets to zip lining and horse back riding, things my wife and I did on our own. We showed up to those places, and everything was taken care of. I highly recommend working with Cristian and his team!

5.00Our experience was very good; the guide was pleasant and stopped at a cute little cafe in Santa Cruz on the way, which has a good selection of pastries and coffee. He also stopped a few times to explain some of the sights and allow for extra pictures. We enjoyed the boat tour; the Captain made every effort to get us up close to the crocodiles, monkeys, and various birds. Our lunch at the Coyote Ranch was a tasty casados-style lunch that even my kids enjoyed. At the ranch there were a few demonstrations as well, including pottery making and sugar cane extraction with tasting. Overall, a nice eco/cultural experience for our family. Thank you!

5.00Christian picked us up in a comfortable van with ac. We drove to the boat tour and he allowed us stops as needed. The boat tour was very good with our own private tour. We saw howler monkeys, white faced capuchin monkeys, crocodiles and many types of herons. Although it was a hot day, we were always comfortable. Lunch was delicious at a local farm. We learned about the pottery as well and saw many farm animals, iguanas and a peacock.
