5.00Wow, so fascinating! We had a horrible stormy day so we weren't able to get out at all the regular stops, but it was still a great tour. Garry's stories of the people involved were so much more meaningful and brought the events of 1942 to life, more so than simply facts about the attacks. Whenever he had a story of survival, we cheered, "Yayyy, they lived!" The visit to Darwin Aviation museum where there was a B-52 bomber was also a highlight. Oh, and he provided delicious "fruit" snacks, haha!

5.00Gary was an outstanding guide, and we saw a wonderful cross-section of Darwin, and learn about the Japanese aerial attack in 1942. Visit to the aircraft museum was wonderful as well. Gary is so enthusiastic about his topic, that we could not fail to share that enthusiasm and to thoroughly enjoy this trip.

5.00Gary arrived with a smile and a handshake. Into the clean and air-conditioned vehicle we jump and off to pick up the other tourers who were also greeted warmly. Gary has a lovely charm about him and it set the tone for the tour. He has lived locally for some time so knows and understands the Darwin area well giving hints and tips about things to see and do. So informative and he is really invested in the people who are part of his story. Many family members of the people he mentions have done the tour with him which only serves to bring more to the tour experience. Thanks for a great morning and would recommend this tour to anyone.

5.00Went of the tour with Garry, he was a wealth of knowledge on the bombing of Darwin and also had family links which was great to hear about. Also a bit of fun and a few jokes on the day during the drive around, visited the Wharf, East point, various other spots showing bullet damage, the submarine net area and ended with the Aviation Museum. Would recommend this tour as if was small and personal.

5.00Door to door service, Gary is a historian, well informed, humorous and flexible. Tour is a great experience and includes the Aviation museum.

5.00We had a terrific tour. Garry has an extensive knowledge of Darwin and its WW11 history with many stories and more including Cyclone Tracy. He took us to many places to point out some of this history. It was informative, fascinating and very entertaining. We were fortunate to be accompanied by a fellow passenger who had done the tour several times before and had equally fascinating personal family stories to add. A great experience.
