We don't believe in "cookie-cutter" experiences and neither should you! We provide the most personalized tours possible, meaning every tour we give is never the same. With the exception of a few must-try foods, the rest is built around YOU and what you're curious about tasting.
Groups are kept small and led by an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Did you know baguettes are some of the worst bread in France and you should be asking for something else? Did you know there are seasons for cheese? Would you like to have someone explain the regions of French wine? Our guides can do this because they are former chefs, food writers, and wine experts - not a student who has memorized a script.
You'll be strolling through Old Bordeaux, with its magnificent medieval architecture and cobblestone streets, sampling the best Bordeaux has to offer. We have selected only the highest quality shops to showcase. Come hungry as portion sizes are generous!

Grosse Cloche
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and is divided into two parts. The first half has you visiting the best artisanal shops in the city - specifically an artisanal bakery, fromagerie, butcher and cannele pastry shop. You will sample a few items along the way but the main event happens during the second half of the tour. You will enjoy a seated wine, cheese and charcuterie pairing for a blowout finish at a wine cellar/wine shop. As we are walking, we'll point out a few historical landmarks in Old Town Bordeaux from the Camino de Santiago to the Grosse Cloche - one of the most recognized monuments of Bordeaux.
Our standard tour starts at the Cinema Utopia and is about 1 km broken up over a leisurely hour and half, before the seated wine pairing. There are spots to sit and rest along the way and the distance can even be further reduced if there is someone on the tour who is elderly or mobility impaired.

A fabulous tour that was streamlined to our requirements . Alex explained everything to us at the outset. We finished in a wine shop where we sampled our bread, meats and cheese with some wines. It was the highlight of our trip to Bordeaux. Highly recommended

Our tour was wonderful. It was well-planned and paced. Our guide, Alex, was amazing. We learned so much from him and the city, the food, the rules about food and wine in France, and how to pair food with wine. All of his choices were delicious. Alex was especially great because he made adjustments for dietary restrictions in our group.

Alexandra was very knowledgeable and kind. It was a nice way to learn about different spots with new cheeses, pastries, and wine.

Excellent knowledge of guide. Just expected some food that was more of a lunch rather than appetizer bites for the price of the tour. All the foods we tasted were excellent quality!
