  Booking: Based on the phrase “email us with the distilleries you want to go to” in the description, we assumed we were booking a private or at least a small tour. We ended up with 7 other random people (3 other groups) who ended up being very nice. We didn’t get to go to any of our top choices. I don’t think any of us on the tour got what we wanted. We got what was available on a Sunday, which makes sense, but that was not my understanding based on the description online. A warning about that in the description would be helpful. Communication: A few days before the tour, we got an itinerary which featured 3 distilleries that we were happy to visit (although none of our preferred ones, but we understood that we had booked late and were going on a Sunday). A day later, we got a different itinerary (Beam, Jeptha, Buffalo) with a note saying that this itinerary would be less driving around, more time touring/tasting. Having no way to cancel, we accepted it. Communication at pick up went smoothly, but we were surprised that it was a 12 passenger van. We didn’t realize we were going to pick up other people at 3 other locations around Louisville so that was a little confusing at first. The 3 distilleries: Jim Beam (tasting and tour), Jeptha Creed (tasting) and Buffalo Trace (tasting and tour). All good and all a little different. We surprisingly liked Jim Beam the most. We were least excited about that one initially. Driver: She was nice and chatty. Worth the price?: Jim Beam booked on its own is $30 pp. Jeptha Creed tasting is $5 pp. Buffalo Trace has free tours with a tasting included. Totaling $35 for tours/tastings pp. We paid just over $400 for two people to go 3 places that we didn’t really even want to go to with 7 other tourists we didn’t know for about 8 hours. Overall: It wasn’t bad but it was not what we had hoped for when we booked it. And it felt a bit expensive for what we got.

  I had read a few poor reviews around lack of communication. But our experience was amazing. Marjorie was communicative leading up to the trip and took good care of us. We had extra time so she stopped at an additional distillery to enhance our experience. She has a great depth of knowledge around Bourbon and it's history. She was fun and light hearted. I will say that the first part of the schedule was packed a bit too tight, and waiting for others in our group put us behind so that we almost missed our second experience. I realize that this is not the norm however would suggest either not waiting for late comers or allowing for a bit more time between distanced distilleries.

  The tour itself was excellent and our driver Marjorie was wonderful. She managed to get us all to visit 5 different distilleries!!! Now for the rest of the experience. The (lack of) communication leading up to the tour was the worst I have experienced. Multiple attempts to communicate and confirm booking, meeting location and time went just unanswered. Multiple methods of communication were also attempted, this app, phone (their number is disconnected), emails & text messages were all tried. My first messages went a month without a reply and the only way I was able to get an initial reply was to ask if I could add a person onto the trip (which would result in more money). That message was responded to in 24 hours.

  A few favorite distilleries are not open Monday/Tuesday which we did not know until too late to adjust tour. Please be aware of this when choosing your day to visit! Otherwise a nice time.

  That you don’t need to taste all of samples, perhaps just the better pours.. drink the water in between tastes.. perfect..

  Great experience!! The tour guide (Barbara) was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout. Despite a couple of different preferences amongst the group, she made it work seamlessly without inconveniencing anyone and enabled us to see more than we had originally planned on.

  Barbara got us to 5 differnt distilleries instead of the normal 3. This was better than expected. She is a little hard for others to understand but me ,being from South Texas originally, had no problem.

  We had a fabulous day! The tour guide, Barbara, was excellent. She was on time and pointed out highlights as we traveled to our sites. She offered recommendations and did her best to maximize our time. The trip was scheduled to provide visits to four distilleries that included 2 tours and 3 tastings with a morning stop where we could purchase drinks or goods. At the discretion of our tour group, she worked in a carry-out lunch and a stop at a fifth distillery. She was excellent in every way. The one problem had nothing to do with her. Because we booked through Chase travel, Viator was never given our direct phone or email. The tour is designed for the tour company to contact us to ask which distilleries we wanted to visit and to arrange our pick up. When we realized Viator could not directly communicate with us, we had to contact Chase travel for them to send us an itinerary. The communication between Viator and Chase Travel was the glitch to be aware of. Otherwise, plan on a fun day if you book this tour.

  We really enjoyed the distilleries but we would have liked to know that there are limited hours on Sundays. We were late to one tasting and one tour. We felt rushed. Our driver was nice to have picked us up a pizza but I would suggest only doing a 2 distillery tour on Sundays.
