RASNOV FORTRESS IS CLOSED, for the moment! Anyhow, we could visit the outside walls and exterior court as follows: Starting Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the Garden of the Medieval Fortress of Rasnov and the Báthory Tower, located at the garden entrance, can only be visited with an admission ticket. Ticket details: ▪ The fee is 10 lei/person (VAT included) for visitors over 12 years old; ▪ Children under 12 years old enjoy free entry; ▪ Tickets can be purchased exclusively on-site, by card only (POS available).
Please bring your own mask; we provide hand sanitizer. We are cleaning vehicles after every tour.
Tour available with extension to Sinaia at a supplement fee and you have to book online Bran, Rasnov and Peles Castle option!
The recommendations of our tour guides: We are always eager to make sure our guests have a wonderful time while participating on our tours. Organizing private and small group tours allows us to be flexible with time and always have opportunities for breaks. Usually, we arrive to Bran around mid-day and after visiting Bran castle our guests can have some free time on the premises and nearby the castle grounds for lunch, shopping or photographing the area. In the Tea House, a small restaurant in the castle’s courtyard one can try the Funeral cake, a porridge like dessert with walnuts, raisins, rom and much more. In Romanian called Coliva the funeral cake usually is served at funerals and commemoration of deceased loved ones. It goes well with a good coffee or tea. Nearby the castle entrance a small souvenir market is located, our favorite stall is selling traditional masks and handcrafted objects and textiles. Please ask your guide to point it out to you! Our guests have the option to decide to have a proper sit-down meal or something quick on the move. The same market has food stalls, one of the most popular ones sells Romanian Hot Dogs (local sausage sandwiches) and Hanul Bran restaurant offers a large choice of tasty Romanian cuisine.
Meeting point: In front of Biblioteca Județeană "George Barițiu", Bulevardul Eroilor 33-35. Please be aware that we provide pick-up and drop-off services exclusively within the city of Brașov, as well as for guests staying outside the old town. The pick-up time will vary based on the location requested. Additionally, we are happy to drop off guests at a different location than the pick-up point for an additional fee.
We would like to inform you that Peleș Castle has recently implemented a new ticketing system. Starting now, all tickets must be purchased online, in advance, for a specific entrance time and date. Please note the following important details: Tickets are only available online. Kindly check the ticket voucher for the link. Each time slot is limited to 500 visitors only. Tickets must be booked for specific entrance windows: Wednesday: 10:00 – 12:45 / Thursday to Sunday: 09:15 – 11:00.
Starting August 1st, 2025, guided tours inside Bran Castle will be conducted exclusively by the Castle’s official guides or independently, without being accompanied by our tour guide, due to Bran Castle’s new policies—more details on their website.
Starting November 1st, the company that manages the ticketing at Peleș Castle decided that guides must also pay the entrance fee. Following this new rule, our guides will no longer accompany guests inside the castle. They will share the historical information and insights before and after your visit.

Peles Castle
Drive to Peles Castle. The expansive, Bavarian-style Peleș Castle was built among a lush forest to house Romania’s royalty in the 19th century and is among the most beautiful in Europe. A guide will lead you through many of its immaculate, ornate rooms, still adorned with luxuriant furnishings and décor. You’ll also have the chance to tour the neighbouring Pelișor Castle, a smaller royal residence decked out in art nouveau finery.
Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
A 1-hour drive brings you to Bran Castle, nicknamed ‘Dracula’s Castle’ for its ties to Bram Stoker’s 1897 Gothic tale and its bloodthirsty villain. The high stone walls and red turrets of this hilltop citadel come into view as you approach the secluded castle, set among the dramatic backdrop of the Carpathians. Enter if you dare, after paying the site fee (own expense), and wander through the castle’s many well-preserved rooms and chambers with your guide. Gothic furnishings and details help set the scene for ghastly legends of all that happened here, including the imprisonment of Vlad the Impaler. This 15th-century prince was notorious for his bloodthirsty campaigns against invading Turks and is said to have inspired Stoker’s malevolent Count Dracula. Opt to have lunch if you like (own expense).

5.00I booked the trip a night before and Tibi was there to pickup right on time, we were the first to reach Bran castle and before going in he gave me the full history of the castle. The medieval power plays, the wars, of love, of politics, and things that shaped the country. You need a bit of imagination at these places, he would say. And on the way to Snagov, we also spoke about the socio-political situations that shaped the country. It was a journey through history, the communist past and EU genesis. Loved the trip! Also he gave me great food suggestions and places to see recommendations.

5.00I booked Bran Castle and Fortress of Rasnov. It was really good! Tiberiu arrived in time in every moment he asked (begginning of the tour, Bran Castle’s ending, etc) and he was clear to explain all the stories of the places we have visited. The tour does not include the guiding tour inside the Castle, but that is ok because the size of the castle is not so big and rooms are better to walk by your own (I am a little disappointed with the Castle hehe but I have been already told that Castle is not that impressive as it seems to be). Finally, the tour guide dropped us in the beginning point and said Goodbye very kindly. Very Recomendable !

5.00What about it? Super cool! As soon as you enter there are plenty of stalls with souvenirs, and then you get to the castle! The visit is not very long and there is no guide!

They have a very good relationship with Peles Castle, get us right in front of the line, which is excellent, since many people behind us, we have the privilege to take a lot of photos without people blocking us. 5.00Would thoroughly recommend this trip, it's the best way to see Bran Castle and Râșnov (and Peleș Castle if you've time) if you are based in Brașov. Our driver Charlie was so helpful and told us all the history on the way and brought us to an excellent viewing point also. A most pleasant morning

5.00Incredible experience and that I recommend from closed eyes to any Cover. We had the experience with the guide Charlie who was concerned at all times. The Van is great and comfortable. Charlie has a passion and a calmness to explain the smallest details, plus an unmatched attention with the tourists. He told us a lot about the history of Romania, myths and how the communist period was. Even when it was not possible to give assistance (Castle of Bran prevented him from entering, made a question of helping us until the last second). The tour is amazing, the day was amazing and the guide is worthy of a score of 10! Super recommend! Great hug from Brazil!

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic day trip visiting Peles Castle, Bran Castle, and the Rasnov Fortress with our guide, Charlie. He was the highlight of our tour, making the entire experience memorable with his insightful commentary, great sense of humor, and incredible patience with our group. Charlie went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable. My wife has dietary restrictions, and he provided the best recommendations for lunch, finding a place that could easily accommodate her needs. He was also very flexible, allowing for extra time when we needed it and making sure there were plenty of bathroom breaks. His attentiveness and accommodating nature made the day completely stress-free. If you are looking for a great day trip to see these beautiful Romanian landmarks, we highly recommend this tour, and especially our guide, Charlie
