Join this amazing camel riding adventure in the dunes of Southern Gran Canaria. Located in Maspalomas, this activity has been declared a cultural heritage of the region.
Feel like a scout in the desert or even like Lawrence of Arabia riding one of our camels and enjoy a pleasant ride on the seemly endless dunes of Maspalomas.
The ride is about 30 minutes long and takes place in the deserted landscapes of Gran Canaria. You can ride our gentle camels, but don’t worry. You don’t need to ride on the hump. Our camels have comfortable two-seater saddles on their flanks.
You will feel like in the Sahara desert riding our tame camels and accompanied by our Saharawi guides. Moreover, the camel rides in these dunes were declared Cultural Heritage of the region.

2.00We arrived at 09:30 and queued for an hour to get to the front of the queue only then to be told we had to wait another hour for our ride. When the ride finally came, the 'guide' leading the camels spent the entire time on his phone whilst we were walked at an unbearably slow pace. It would have been much better to have had some information about the camels and the dunes. The staff were friendly and facilities clean. Whilst the camels do seem well cared for, they are wearing metal muzzles which dont look great at all. Overall I would say this is not at all worth it.

3.00Great experience. Would have been even better if the camels were equipped with proper harnesses as would any horse. Instead, they had handmade rope harnesses and metal muzzles. It seemed uncomfortable for the camels.
