Please note that the viewpoints are closed on Tuesdays, so visits cannot be made on that day of the week.

5.00Perfect experience to explore alot in a day but without any stress. I wasn’t really aware of the need to bring a swimsuit , but didn’t want to swim anyway in the pools , the water was very cold

5.00Sumidero Canyon is an absolute must-see when visiting Chiapas. Our day began at 8:45 a.m. in the central square of San Cristóbal, where we gathered before setting off on our adventure. We made a quick stop for restrooms and then visited two breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the canyon—one even had a small restaurant—before winding our way down to the port to board our boat. Our captain was incredibly knowledgeable about the canyon, the national park, and the Grijalva River that runs through it. He had a remarkable eye for wildlife, spotting spider monkeys and crocodiles along the way, and he patiently gave everyone time to take photos and ask questions. After a scenic and informative two-hour journey through the canyon, we arrived in Chiapa de Corzo, where we enjoyed a late lunch and explored the local market before heading back to San Cristóbal, returning around 5:00 p.m. Both our guide and driver were fantastic. Although the tour was originally intended to be in Spanish, most of the group spoke English, and our guide did an excellent job sharing everything in both languages—no small feat. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience and this company!

3.00They did not take us to the viewpoints and lasted 2 hours less the tour than contracted, apparently there was demonstration and so it did not happen, I would have liked to have been advised to schedule something else or to have given us more time in roe deer. More communication was lacking.

5.00A stunning place, full of nature and biodiversity. We hire the Boat Service, the cooperatives have only one locker. So you can shop right there. If you paid your entrance fee to the viewpoints before, you will be charged the new fee

5.00Very good experience. I booked the same day about 90 minutes before the tour started and thought that although the reservation was confirmed, there might be a problem, but no. Driver Edgar was very friendly and told us a bit about the story; he was born in San Cristobal. Very comfortable transport. We had 30 minutes to enjoy the 1000m viewpoint and 10 minutes the 600m viewpoint. I thought it was a good time. The captain of the boat very friendly, same. You can see that he has a lot of experience, he made sounds when we approached the spider monkeys and crocodiles, at a respectful (I think?) and safe distance. We had more than an hour to explore Chiapas de Corzo and then returned to San Cristobal, where the tour began. Mr. Edgar helped me with transportation information, which I thanked him very much. Overall, excellent experience. The Canyon tour lasted 2 hours. It's a wonderful experience.

5.00Solid tour! We enjoyed the canyon tour including seeing crocodiles and monkeys up very close! If you her car or motion sickness easily, I’d recommend packing a gravol to help.
