This cooking class is based on a survival way of cooking back in the days when cooking ware was not invented yet. The dish that's cooked inside bamboo has a distinct smoky taste that can't be achieved in cooking in metal cookware.

Join us for an exciting culinary experience at Hadsan Cove Resort, situated in Marigondon Lapu Lapu City, where you can learn to cook 3 Traditional Filipino dishes featuring Chicken, Shrimp, and Fish, Native Filipino garden salad, Hanging Rice, and Local Dessert, all within a 4-hour period. Before commencing the cooking session, guests will be given a brief introduction to Filipino cooking history. Then, they will prepare spices and herbs for the dishes, while a Filipino dessert made of local seasonal fruits will be prepared while waiting for the food to be cooked on charcoal. Guests can also take a refreshing dip on the beach as they wait for the food to cook. Once the food is cooked, guests will savor each dish they have prepared. After the cooking class, an email containing all the pictures taken during the session, along with the recipes, will be sent to the guests, allowing them to replicate their favorite dishes back home. The cooking class will take place in front of a stunning beach, and guests are welcome to swim. This activity is a minimum of 2 people. Additionally, you require 3 days notice before the cooking class to ensure that the necessary Bamboo can be ordered.

3.00The cooking experience itself was nice, the staffs were particularly friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. The organisation of the class however, was horrible. We were rescheduled twice (we were texted the morning of); on the website it was indicated that it would be a private class but it wasn't; and the organiser also never bothered to send us the recipes even after we reminded them repeatedly.

5.00We went in March of 2023 My review is way past due but this was a great beach side experience and the food we made was delicious. In fact we need that chicken adobe recipe and some bamboo. I recommend in Cebu this is a must do.

5.00This is an experience you do not want to miss. Our guide, Lerelei, was excellent, and the food was absolutely outstanding. Lot of fun cooking and you get to take a swim while the food is cooking in the bamboo.
