Have a great ceramic making experience! Get the chance to express yourself through pottery in this 2 and 1/2 hours ceramic class. Come with your friends or with your kids and play with clay while learning the basic skills of ceramic art. Make your own ceramics under the directions of ceramic artist Dionysia Avouri, the owner of Adamieion Ceramic Art Studio. During the workshop you create a turtle and a second more free form, with the style and decoration depending on your creativity and imagination! We fire your creations and you collect them after three (3) days or we send them to your home. The studio is located in a pleasant environment among olive trees and vineyards. Admire some of the oldest olive trees on the island, aged more than 1.000 years old! You, your friends and your kids are welcome to play and create with clay, away from the noisy tourist resorts. You have the opportunity to create your own unique souvenirs, your ...ceramic memories from your holidays in Zakynthos.

First you visit the gallery - shop to get an idea of Dionysia' s work and inspiration for your creations. Then you work with Dionysia for 2 and 1 /2 hours to get familiar with clay and create your own unique ceramic memories from Zakynthos island. The standard project includes the creation of two pieces a turtle and a second more free form (bowl, tile etc). The shape, the style and the decoration of the 2 pieces depends on your imagination and creativity! Your ceramics will remain to dry under the sun and then Dionysia will glaze and fire them. They will be ready out from the kiln 72 hours (3 days) after the workshop, depending on weather conditions and our kiln firing schedule. After the workshop you may have a walk in our farm and admire some of the oldest olive trees in Zakynthos.

In September 2025 we attended a ceramics workshop together at Dionysia. They let us make a turtle and a bowl. Dionysia then took care of the glazing and baking. A few days later we were able to pick up our beautiful pieces. Totally proud of course. During the workshop Dionysia told about herself and we were told a bit of history. What a nice, sweet and competent woman, full of passion she told about her work as a ceramicist and her ceramics studio. Once home, our tricks are shining and showing off (with ouzo sweets). Dionysia, thanks again for your hospitality and the super nice workshop. Greetings, Herman and Muriël

Wow, what can I say... we came on holiday with a child who gets terrible sea sickness so wanted something fun and different that didn't involve boats! We found Dionysia and her incredible ceramics studio, the memories we made that day as a family will really last a lifetime. Dionysia's expertise, patience, joy and knowledge of her craft and the island are second to none. We had never made ceramics before and as complete novices, are incredibly proud of what we made! A turtle and a bowl each.... We were then treated to delicious food and drink in the garden which was such a bonus on a hot sunny day. 2 days later our finished products were delivered and we just love them.I cannot recommend this enough for something special to do if you visit Zante.

We got to make 2 items a turtle and a bowl. The instructions were really clear and there were refreshments throughout. The setting is idyllic looking out over the olive groves and it was a lovely chilled experience. I would highly recommend. We went towards the end of our holiday and so weren't able to pick up the pots once fired so that might be something to consider. We walked from our hotel in Tsilivi through olive groves with cyclamen and wild narcissus, green lizards darting across the road verges, beautiful villas, prickly pears, oranges and bourganvillea. A great experience!

Wished we gone earlier in the holiday so that we could make something. Whether you visit to make or enjoy the creations, stop in here. The shop/gallery is crammed with beautiful pieces to wonder at.

Very nice workshop, we’ve made a turtle and a bowl. Dionysia explains all very well, so everything can make something that survives in the oven. We’ve chosen had a lot of time to finish our crafts and there was no pressure at all to finish quickly. We’ve chosen to send it to our homeadress, not cheap but worth the money as everything was packaged very carefully and robust to survive the trip. All in all, an afternoon full of creativity and the end result is great.

We were a three generation group of six, and we had the most enjoyable and relaxing day. A wonderful teacher who clearly enjoys sharing her knowledge and art. Even with a bunch of novices like us! The workshop and surroundings were stunning and sitting under the olive trees with delicious refreshments was an amazing finish to the day. Our items were nicely glazed and carefully wrapped for us. Thank you.

The whole experience was fantastic!! From the welcome from Avouridionysia's to the making, history and end product. She is passionate about her art and it shows, wanting you to make the best ceramic pieces that is unique to you. As we were going home before they would be ready...she took all our detail to post them on. You will not be disappointed by the experience...calming, educational and very enjoyable!!

Great ceramics shop with lots of beautiful things. From tableware to jewelry, vases, wall plates, keychains. In short, everything. Both lower and upper floor full of ceramics. Also possibility for taking ceramic workshop. Open daily. After October, store closes early. Very helpful owner. Location easily accessible including parking options. Sits near Zakynthos town and Tsilivi. We have already seen some ceramic shops but for this one you want to drive around and come back!

This was one of the best ‘excursions’ I have ever experienced on holiday. Dionysia is not only a supremely talented ceramics artist but a wonderful teacher. Three generations enjoyed the most fabulous workshop and we would recommend it!
