Visit the vibrant local market and the traditional food shops with a local home cook and immerse yourself in a private cooking class at a local's home, learn the secrets of the most famous dishes of Asti cuisine and taste the fruit of your labour accompanied by local wines.
During the lesson, your host will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic Asti recipes. Have fun putting your cooking skills to the test. Participants will have a workstation equipped with utensils and all the ingredients to make the dishes. Then, taste everything you have prepared accompanied by a selection of red and white local wines.

5.00Our host, Monica, was lovely! The experience was marvelous! My husband and I met Monica at an agreed location in Asti (easy to find), and then walked to a local open air market to shop for produce for our meal. After, she drove us to her beautiful home to share a cooking lesson (pasta, chocolate stuffed peaches, and saucy-vegetable bruschetta - YUM!) in her gorgeous kitchen and then ate the delectable meal with her lovely son around the family's table. The advice, the laughter, the ability to improve our Italian language skills, and the joy of cooking with a local in her home was a memory we will never forget. We HIGHLY recommend cooking with Monica! We have been to cooking lessons before, and this was by far the most exceptional!

5.00We started with an interesting tour on the market. Fabiana knows the local stands with the best vegetables. She told us which tomatoes to use for which dishes. At their place Fabiana and Andrea really made us feel at home. First we prepared tiramisu and then pasta fresca which we used later for agnolotti. They were helpful along the way and made sure we did it right. We finished the cooking class with our own prepared dinner, together with Fabiana and Andrea. Would definitely recommend!
