  We had the most delightful walking tour with our very knowledgeable guide Carolyn. Her knack for telling stories and explaining PEI history in a clear, organized way were especially helpful. She was also very flexible and able to emphasize aspects that were of particular interest to us. The food offerings were substantial and our stops well organized, given that each establishment was already quite busy. Vendors, wait staff—even passers by—were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food samples were excellent and our guide’s knowledge of each industry (fishing, building, tourism, agriculture) was encyclopedic! After an excellent stop at a lobster tank to view enormous live lobsters and the rare blue specimen, the grand finale included a freshly shucked oyster and a shot of local moonshine. This was a truly well organized tour that provided clear directions and it exceeded our expectations spectacularly.

  I wanted to review because my experience was very positive. When I booked myself and my husband for the tour, Josh immediately took my food sensitivity (celiac) into account, with alternatives offered to accommodate for those things I could not eat. Unfortunately, the day of I ended up in the hospital with vertigo. We couldn't go on the tour. Josh not only offered a full refund, but also offered to drop things off to us. I, truly, believe we would have loved this tour. Josh has been amazing from the start. Genuine kindness and good character go a long way. If we are out this way once again, we'll definitely be booking another tour.

  My wife and I are very fond of walking food tours, and Charlottetown proved to be no exception. Ken provided us with excellent commentary! As a local, his knowledge of the history of the area was outstanding, and his anecdotes made it an even more personal experience. The food was of high quality, and the flavor was excellent.   Wonderful tour! Had amazing mussels, lobster roll and oysters at three different restaurants. We learned so much about Charlottetown’s history from our guide, Josh. He was very passionate about P.E.I. as this area is home for him (9th generation). Highly recommend!

  Mark was an excellent guide, and he treated us to all kinds of local history and some spectacular food! It didn’t hurt that we had an absolutely gorgeous day and only one other couple, so it was absolutely a personal tour!

  

  

  

• Great for PEI history….

  We went 2.5 hours with one meal…. So definitely come with a pretty full belly already. Great for history buffs who want to know the extent of PEI history through time… but for people who want to know culinary history … or just eat good food… not quite hitting the mark. From a food perspective, we had 4 courses - PEI mussels, half a lobster roll with egg/potato salad, a single Malbec oyster with a moonshine shot, and a chocolate bar (to go).

  Mark was an excellent guide who shared the history of PEI. The food taste was excellent of the lobster, mussels and the oysters that my husband only tried. Great fun and very enjoyable.

  We enjoyed our food walking tour. We were a group of 17, which seemed a bit large, and it was mostly manageable. Our tour guide, Mark is native to PEI and provided many anecdotes and historical facts along the way. The food was both interesting and satisfying. Clearly they have put some thought into making the tour entertaining. On the negative side, we had a bit of a delay as the restaurant serving the lobster rolls was backed up. It it made the tour run longer, so that was a minor inconvenience. Overall, we would recommend it
