This private city sightseeing tour of Chengdu takes you to all the highlights: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Wenshu Temple, People’s Park and Old Town. Spend several hours watching adorable pandas before your guide takes you by private vehicle to the famous Zen Buddhist monastery for lunch. Then stroll down Kuanzhai Alley, followed by relax at a teahouse in the park. Your full-day tour includes an optional upgrade to see the Sichuan culture opera show.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi)

Meet your friendly English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby. After 40 mins driving, you will start your exciting day at Chengdu Panda Breeding Center. Spend your morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas and visit the red panda section to see these small adorable animals.

Wenshu Yuan Monastery

Wenshu Temple, a preserved Buddhist temple housing many precious works of art that are considered cultural relics. It is one of the most important Buddhist Temple in Chengdu City. You will enjoy a special vegetarian buffet lunch here with locals and monks. After lunch, visit this beautiful and peaceful Buddhist temple. Take a stroll at the temple complex with impressive buddha statues. See the monks and local prayers.

    Wonderful trip to the Breeding Centre of Pandas and the most characteristic areas of Chengdu: the guide JoJo is very nice and helpful, he knows very well the places visited and the tricks to see them at their best, not least he speaks a very pleasant English

    We booked the trip in the last minute as our flights got canceled and was rebooked two days later. Cindy was amazing friendly and welcoming, Cindy toured us around the panda research park. Cindy knows the park well and we were rewarded with pandas and more pandas playing and eating, we even saw the baby pandas and about 8 red pandas, tree climbing and running around. I must say we saw more pandas than normal as we were told by many people. Cindy navigated the panda park and the city sights with knowledge and ease. Cindy educated us on the old town and the people’s park which was in the misted of the flower show. The flowers and the 100 year old tea house was calming and very enjoyable. Cindy is an asset to the tour company. This is a long tour (all day) but a must to absorb some of Chengdu‘s culture and passion on a tight schedule. Thank you Cindy for your time and knowledge.

    Perry was an amazing guide - tailored the day to our needs, and showed us so much attention throughout the day. We saw many pandas, they were so active, ate a delicious lunch, then walked through old world Chengdu and ended at the people's park- delightful. We got to see the many attractions that Chengdu has to offer and he went above and beyond. The driver - Mr Lu was smooth and professional - especially important with a child who gets significant motion sickness.

    Our guide Wells was very knowledgeable and showed us the best places in Chengdu (including the Panda reserve and Leishan Buddha). He went the extra mile, by also taking us on a local food tour at a local market. I would highly recommend Wells as a guide!

    Our tour guide Sylvia was amazing…super friendly, knowledgeable about history/culture and fluent in English. We had a really fun time w her and she was super interesting/funny and gave us recommendation on the best local eats. Highly recommend
