This private city sightseeing tour of Chengdu takes you to all the highlights: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Wenshu Temple, People’s Park and Old Town. Spend several hours watching adorable pandas before your guide takes you by private vehicle to the famous Zen Buddhist monastery for lunch. Then stroll down Kuanzhai Alley, followed by relax at a teahouse in the park. Your full-day tour includes an optional upgrade to see the Sichuan culture opera show.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi)
Meet your friendly English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby. After 40 mins driving, you will start your exciting day at Chengdu Panda Breeding Center. Spend your morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas and visit the red panda section to see these small adorable animals.
Wenshu Yuan Monastery
Wenshu Temple, a preserved Buddhist temple housing many precious works of art that are considered cultural relics. It is one of the most important Buddhist Temple in Chengdu City. You will enjoy a special vegetarian buffet lunch here with locals and monks. After lunch, visit this beautiful and peaceful Buddhist temple. Take a stroll at the temple complex with impressive buddha statues. See the monks and local prayers.

5.00Book this tour with Silvia, who has a kind and positive personality. All tour guides have completed university and know the history very well, making it very interesting to listen to them. We started our tour early to reach the Panda Base by 8 am. It's best to go there as early as possible to avoid crowds. Trust me, wake up at 6 am if needed :) so you can better see and enjoy the lives of the pandas. This was the reason I went to China and I was so happy to see these cute creatures. Later, we went to a Zen Buddhist monastery on a famous street. I was amazed at how everything is still so authentic in China—temples, tea houses, food, tea bars, and ear grooming. Afterwards, we went to People's Park. I visited on a Friday, which was a public holiday. Wow, the things you will see there will amaze you. Then we had traditional green tea in a tea house. Actually, I haven't seen such tea houses in either Beijing or Hangzhou. So, please enjoy every moment there. Later, we also went to another tourist spot—a street where you can buy lots of souvenirs, clothes, sweets, and more.

5.00Both Casey and Helen arrived early at the hotel and driver was ready for us. Casey spoke very good English and very knowledgeable about the tour. We saw the Panda at close proximity, there were quite a few Giant Pandas in the Panda base. Casey helped us to navigate through the crowd with ease. Good vegetarian meal at the monastery. The wide and narrow alleys were very interesting, full of character and cultural history. Definitely recommend this tour. Thanks to both Casey and Helen for a very goof tour in Chengdu.
