We work hand in hand with the communities of the Zoque culture that live around the Volcano and integrate into our tours in different ways, I already know with food, with native guides, with stories and legends and above all they teach us to value this type of natural wonders.

An incredible 6.5 km hike through the Chiapas mountain range to the top of the Volcano, full of landscapes, mountains and adventure. We will do some climbing to reach the crater of 1 km in diameter! we will know the emerald lake inside the volcano that is 1km high. An experience you don't want to miss.
Our base camp is set up here and it is where we equip ourselves to start the trek and the Zoque community receives us, who will provide us with our food and drinks once we return from having conquered the historic Chichonal Volcano.

1.00Nobody showed up! Nothing was communicated. Would give 0 stars if possible. Avoid if you can! This place is a scam!!! Tried calling and messaging them and no response!

5.00We did a tour to Volcán Chichonal from Villahermosa with Ramón as our guide. He is a very nice and professional guy and knows a lot about the biology and geology of the region. I can totally recommend doing this tour with Jungla Experience, as they provide a great experience and it is rather difficult to do get there by yourself. Also, the food at the basecamp after the tour was very good.

1.00AVOID at all costs! Flaky and unreliable tour operator who bails on tours without advising booked clients! Later found a long history of many, many complaints re no-shows. I did NOT appreciate getting up @ 3 AM, then walking through dark, deserted streets to rendezvous point for 5 AM pickup, only to be left with my thumb up my a**! Now I’m exhausted and have few options for alternative exploration.
Challenger but amazing! Unmissable!

5.00Great experience! The views are beautiful and the guide explains you super well from before starting and throughout the tour. Always super watchful of the group and our safety. Once you get to the crater it's just awesome

5.00A recommended visit to an active and historic volcano of Mexico, all very well! The organization, punctuality, safety and knowledge of the guides make it very worth visiting the volcano, makes you reconnect with nature and history! I'd definitely do it again.

5.00We had an amazing time, Ramon is so polite, professional and knowledgeable. He made sure we had a great experience, he took lots of nice pictures he and videos. The hike was awesome and the volcano view was breath taking. Will love to go back again.

5.00Beautiful place, excellent guides, worth it, in addition to its natural beauty, the visit to the Chichonal Volcano also gave me the opportunity to connect with the history and culture of the region. I learned about the historic 1982 eruption that changed the face of the surrounding landscape and about the resilience of the Zoque communities who have learned to live in harmony with an active volcano. In short, my visit to the Chichonal Volcano with jungle tours was a truly transformative experience. It reminded me of the importance of appreciating and respecting the beauty and strength of nature, as well as the human ability to adapt and thrive in any environment. I highly recommend to all those who have the opportunity to venture to discover the Wonder that is the Chichonal Volcano. I guarantee you won't regret it.

5.00As the name implies it's such a EXPERIENCE! Every detail tailored to your needs, all the tour was pretty well organized and the feel when you get up to the top is amazing!!! This volcano is as beatiful as the pictures can't describe accurately so you must go.
