Cloaked in the shadows of the beautiful and historical Church Hill neighborhood, this tour includes the following spirited tales:
The story of one of the Civil War's most accomplished spies who still haunts the site where her home once was, the spirits of a Civil War hospital, tales of the paranormal at one of Church Hill's most notable restaurants, and more...
Your Guide will share with you the history of the neighborhood, and how it relates to the tales of the mysterious and tragic things that have led to numerous reports of paranormal activity along the tour route.

Meet your Ghost Guide at the corner of 23rd & East Broad Streets, outside Patrick Henry's Pub & Grille, to depart on your tour of beautiful and Historic Church Hill. The tour will include tales at a number of local landmarks, including the following: • Patrick Henry's Pub & Grille, a unique neighborhood landmark that serves up excellent food and drink today, but the building has seen much in its 160+ years on the hill. • An old tobacco warehouse that is now an apartment building, but once served as an Alabama hospital during the Civil War. • Bellevue Elementary School which stands on the site of what was once a beautiful mansion during the Civil War. That mansion just so happened to be the home of one of the war's most accomplished spies. • And more sites of historic hauntings...

5.00We had a WONDERFUL tour with Martha a few weeks back. Ended up being a private tour since nobody had signed up that specific evening in Church Hill, which made the experience all that more personable. Having lived in Church Hill for 1+ years now, we knew so little of the history of the area and really appreciated how knowledgeable our guide was about our stomping grounds. Felt very safe throughout, had all of our questions answered, and felt inspired to sign up for another tour real soon! Would recommend 10/10 to anybody else thinking about trying it :)

5.00Booked the tour because of availability. Turned out pretty well. Our guide did very good job of telling history and legends about Richmond especially the Church Hill area. She is a good storyteller who has pleasant voice. We enjoyed our tour.

5.00Martha was a great tour guide! The other Haunts of Richmond staff I encountered, Beth and Chris, were also great and super welcoming. The tour was lots of fun and I enjoyed hearing all about the history of RVA.

5.00This was an excellent walking tour with a good mix of local lore and the paranormal. I greatly enjoyed the historical references presented by the guides. One does not have to believe in ghosts to find this entertaining.

5.00Such great background stories and history about RVA that you'd never know as an out-of-towner unless you did the tour. Marsha is great...she was in costume on Halloween. Even if you don't believe in ghosts, you should go! Totally worth it. We enjoyed it so much. Lots of good info on Poe was included. Bonus!!
