Strolling through the alleys of the historical centre & monuments,we reach Corfu’s open fruit & fish market. We will buy our fresh organic products, harvested from the corfiot fields a few hours earlier, watch the local producers trying to sell their goods,feel the smell of fresh vegetable,fruit,fish and herbs! Tasting the REAL feta cheese is a MUST! After shopping you will drive your car(if you don't have one,tranfser can be provided at extra cost) in our villa,20km away,where you will learn to prepare and cook traditional greek recipes. Once you arrive at home,we will welcome you with a bruschetta on freshly baked handmade bread and we start with the “hands on” lunch preparation. Just before lunch,a walk in the ruins of our family 200 years old olive press, in our olive grove, and an olive oil tasting is all you need to increase your apetite for a mouthwatering lunch! By inviting you to our home,you spend a few relaxing hours and treated as part of our family!The ancient method of cooking in a wood-fire oven goes back centuries and it's worth trying a delicious meal prepared the same way our grandmothers used to cook. IMPORTANT:THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDES TRANSFER UPON ARRANGEMENT!

Such a great activity to do with your time in Corfu! Loved learning a bit about the history of the town and going shopping before preparing our meal. Great group of people who are friendly and fun to be around. If you’re on the fence, do it!

We booked on to this experience after reading the good reviews and were not disappointed! We thoroughly enjoyed the shopping, the tour of the Jewish quarter, and the cooking experience back at Yorgos' villa. He especially took time to speak to my daughter who is learning Greek and spent time introducing new vocabulary. The old olive oil press was impressive and we were taught how to taste olive oil and what to look out for when buying. The food we helped prepare was delicious and plentiful. Yorgos gave us a lift back to town(prearranged) and would have dropped us at a convenient location in town. A thoroughly relaxing day which gave an insight to the local culture.

I was a little nervous going alone but as soon as I met George he made me feel right at ease . The group was lovely, we started out at the market shopping for our food along with a small tour of the city which was really nice. We then went to Georges villa which was unbelievable. We were greeted by his family and made feel very welcome. We started to prepare our meals and they all came out great and everything was done super old school. While the food was cooking, George gave us a small olive oil tour which was really nice along with a tasting. This was such a wonderful way to experience an authentic Greek cooking class . Highly recommend this visit even solo.

We highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the authentic and traditional side of Corfu. The day begins with a guided walk through the local market where you meet vendors and discover small specialty shops. The tour guide also shares the history of the island in an engaging and informative way. You then head to a beautiful olive farm for a cooking class where you prepare and enjoy traditional Greek dishes in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The guides, cooks and team are warm, knowledgeable and make the entire experience unforgettable. A true must do in Corfu.

We had the most amazing day. We were a family of 12 and 3 generations. Georgios was a fantastic host. He organised the outing to the market to buy all the fresh food for the cooking. Lola was an excellent chef. Both involved each one in the preparation. They prepared a menu which met our dietary requirements. The setting for the lunch was picturesque. Georgios also arranged our pick up from the hotel with a lovely driver Theodore. There were lots of other extras. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Georgios for a memorable day.
It is a great way to learn a little bit about Greek cooking!

A wonderful way to spend some family time. We brought our two teenage kids for the experience, and they loved it. From going to the market in Corfu town, shopping for the ingredients to preparing the food in the hosts' beautiful home and being educated about the family history in the area, it was a pleasure! Highly recommend :)

It was such a fun and memorable experience! We started by learning a bit about the history of Corfu, which really helped us appreciate the local culture. Then we explored the local markets to pick out fresh ingredients, which was such a unique touch. After that, we drove up to our host’s home where we were welcomed so warmly and got to learn the art of Greek cooking firsthand. The host was absolutely delightful—so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing his culture. Highly recommend!
