  Our tour guide Sarah was very experienced and patient. The snorkeling experience was wonderful! We saw lots of sea urchins and tropical fish. The only pity was that many of the coral reefs were dead. But overall an amazing snorkeling experience! Highly recommended!

  This was an amazing experience with fabulous guides, Sarah and Jonathan! We snorkled with the turtles on the first half and it was amazing! We got to see several turtles including a rare hawks bill turtle who came up for air. It was amazing to see him in all his glory! Sarah and Jonathan were so happy too because they don’t see them often. The second half was snorkeling at Melones Beach seeing the coral and beautiful fish, squid and lobsters. Amazing day and experience. Thank you Sarah and Jonathan! You both were amazing, kind, helpful and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this experience!

  This is our third trip to Culebra and pur fourth snorkeling tour. The three previous either departed from Fajardo on a private boat, or were on near shore reefs around the island. Each of the previous tours was less focused on time in the water and more time on the beach. Snorkeling with locals is vastly different and 10000% better. We met out guide Jonathan on Tamarindo beach around 9am. He provided fins, mask and snorkel as well as PFDs for the day. We walked down the beach, into the water and set off towards the sea grass beds where the turtles live. The area around Tamarindo Beach is a nature preserve where juvenile sea turtles live and grow before finally venturing out into open ocean. My expectations were to see one or possibly two turtles during the excursion. I was blown away by the abundance in the sanctuary. In addition to a dozen sea turtles, we were also treated to the chance to pet a sea cucumber, hold a conch, and watch a reef shark prowling the bottom. We also saw stingrays, numerous species of fish and other sea life. The swim with turtles lasted nearly an hour and a half and was a magical experience. We transferred to Melonas beach for the second half of the excursion, where we dove on the thriving coral reef system just off shore. The abundance of sealife was amazing and we saw Caribbean lobsters, sea urchins, flounder, puffer fish, sea stars and a trumpet fish just to name a few. This dive also lasted for an hour and a half, which far exceeded our expectations. In all, this was the best snorkeling experience I have ever had. The small group and personal attention from Jonathan exceeded every previous trip by a wide margin. I cannot recommend this excursion enough. We'll done!!

  Super fun experience! We got to see a bunch of turtles and other cool creatures! The coral reef was very pretty, and we saw all kinds of cool tropical fish! Overall amazing experience.

  We had an excellent experience on our snorkeling tour on Culebra. The first beach we visited to see the turtles was remote, undeveloped, and beautiful, with very calm, clear waters and excellent swimming. It was a great intro to snorkeling for the less experienced swimmers in our group. Lots of turtles! The coral reef experience was also incredible, with a wide variety of colorful corals and fascinating fish species to see. Our guide, Sarah, was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the local sea ecosystems and underwater life. She also did a great job of managing our large family group which has a tendency to wander off and not listen to instructions, and do so with great humor and professionalism.

  Our guide Sara was fantastic and knowledgable. She made everyone feel very comfortable, especially for those who are snorkeling for the first time. After I realized that I left a shirt in Sara's car, it was returned to me 2 days later which I really appreciated. Note that to transfer from 1st beach to the 2nd beach, you will have to take a taxi which will be arranged for you. If there are at least 4 people in the group, it's $5pp, otherwise it's $20 total.

  This was the best thing that my brother and I did on our 8 day trip to Puerto Rico. I never expected to see so much marine life. We saw several turtles, sting rays, innumerable colorful fish and a living coral reef. Jonathan, our guide, was friendly and extremely informative. He even dived to the bottom to point out things that we would have never recognized. We wore life jackets and felt save the whole time.

  What an amazing experience! I called Lemuel Diaz the day before looking for anyone who could show us the reef and he was so accommodating. Our local guide, Jonathan, was patient and friendly and helpful. He has an incredible level of knowledge about the reef and its inhabitants and it’s clear he’s dedicated to its preservation. We visited Tamarindo Beach first and swam with the green turtles and moon jellyfish. Jonathan kept us at a respectful distance, but we were close enough to see them eyeing us. Then we drove to Melones Beach to see the live coral. Again keeping our distance, we cruised the reef. Sadly another tour group wasn’t as respectful. They illegally dumped 30 or so people from a large catamaran into the water at the reef and we watched with alarm as they kicked and broke the coral. Jonathan tried to get the guide to reign in the destruction, but he was unconcerned. The coral we saw was colorful and alive—just beautiful. This was probably our best day on the island.
