The grim history of Monroe Park that lies hidden under the well-tended landscape of today, a hospital-turned-student dorm that still houses the spirits of long-departed patients, the ghosts of a landmark theater, and more...
Your Guide will share with you the history of the neighborhood, and how it relates to the tales of the mysterious and tragic things that have led to numerous reports of paranormal activity along the tour route.

Today it is the cornerstone of the Virginia Commonwealth University Monroe Park campus. Over the last couple of centuries this space has seen many uses, including as a parade ground and a Confederate military hospital. It harbors tales of murders and curses that hide under the leisure activities that take place in the modern day. You will also hear tales from some of the surrounding dormitories that overlook the park.
Hear haunting tales about the one time home of a Richmond industrial great, now the Office of the Provost for Virginia Commonwealth University.

5.00I had so much fun on the campus ghost tour. It was interesting to hear stories about the spirits of people who once lived in the area before VCU bought up the properties. Valerie, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the stories. Plus, she has charisma and a sense of humor that kept me engaged. I recommend booking a tour in October, but I think you'll have fun anytime of the year.
