This tour is the perfect way to stay dry and view the wild manatees of the Kings Bay Wildlife Refuge.
Hop aboard our US Coast Guard certified vessel where you will join your Master Captain to embark on a journey into the Kings Bay refuge waters. On this tour, you and the group will join us for one of the most memorable experiences of a lifetime!
During this trip we will search for our world famous wild manatees that give Crystal River the title of "The Manatee Capital of the World." There is also a chance to see many other species of birds, turtles, and even a dolphin every now and then so be on the lookout for the impressive variety of wildlife that calls the refuge "home".

For this Manatee Viewing Cruise, you will be meeting our Captain at Pete's Pier. There is an additional $10 parking fee per vehicle at Pete's Pier, that you are required to pay upon arrival.

In order to maintain operational efficiency, we require a minimum of three guests per boat to operate. Guests may purchase additional tickets if the capacity is not met, which will be reimbursed if another group joins.

5.00Gavin was exceptional! His knowledge of manatees, of the Florida waterways and climate, and of this boat are VAST. He found tons of manatees for us to watch, but he also enriched the experience with stories about multi-state manatee rescues he's assisted with, current geo-political implications affecting manatees, individual manatees we encountered and their personalities, etc. Plus we appreciated that they'd called us that morning with the opportunity to switch to a later cruise in view of anticipated rain. All in all, a very well coordinated and exceptionally well done experience. (Worth noting that the pier they leave from charges $10 for parking. That was a disappointing surprise. But not really the fault of Gavin or his company.) Also... Purchase a pair of polarized sunglasses BEFORE you get to the pier. The Pier's gift shop dramatically overcharges for polorized-lens sunglasses, which are nice to have for manatee viewing.)

5.00Great experience, we purchased 8 tickets for family members months in advance and had no control over the weather and boy was it a cold day. The experience was outstanding; my grandson always wanted to swim with the manatees and got his wish; swimming in the water with a large number of manatees. It was an experience he will never forget, he would have liked to have spent more time with them, but the water was cold and the tour ended. The two guides were exceptional, very personable and professional. Would do it again!

5.00We had a great time! We saw plenty of manatees and Gavin was very knowledgeable and personable. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the up close views of the manatees. We saw a cool turtle and lots of great birds too. We hope to come back when my son is a stronger swimmer to do the swimming tour and will definitely book with Explorida again. There was a bathroom right at the pier we took off from and we enjoyed the gift shop as well. The parking can be paid by phone/card or I believe I saw a sign where you can pay in the gift shop as well, so leave a couple of extra minutes to situate your parking. There also was an overflow parking area, if you have to park there it’s still a short walk to the pier.
Tour guide very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information about manatees. We were able to see many manatees.

5.00We took the whole family over for a new and interesting experience. The age range of our group was 7 to 86. Everyone had a wonderful time, whether it was in the water and marveling at these wonderful docile creatures, or just enjoying the ride and the views. The first mate made everyone feel welcome and safe, and the captain returned to dock with all souls still aboard and happy. I’d recommend whole heartedly.

5.00We had a great tour and saw probably a dozen manatees, fish jumping, birds, turtles and an alligator sunning himself. GQ was a great captain and guide he new the popular manatee spots and could site them in the distance.
