Cu Chi Tunnels

We depart Ho Chi Chi Minh City in the morning to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, known for its role in the anti-American resistance during the Vietnam War and now seen as a symbol of heroism. With over 220 km of underground tunnels, it's a popular tourist attraction for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The scenic route from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi passes through the local countryside, offering sights such as ducks and buffalo along the river. Despite its tranquil appearance today, it's hard to imagine the destruction caused by bombing and mines in the past, when Cu Chi was designated as a "free target zone."

My Tho

After investigating the tunnels, we'll head to My Tho, a province in the Mekong Delta region. We'll embark on a boat ride along the upper Mekong and witness the Four Animal Islands named after creatures in Buddhist lore: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this portion of the tour, you'll get a glimpse of local Vietnamese life and how it is tied to the river. Later, we'll take you on a rowboat excursion through the narrow waterways, showcasing the fertile agriculture of the delta with its fruit orchards, coconut plantations, and beekeeping farms. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste honey tea, seasonal fruits, fresh coconut candy, and enjoy southern Vietnamese folk music. Finally, we'll return to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel around 6:30 PM.

Booked Bruno through Viator. He was super friendly, funny, knowledgeable and engaging. The tour was 11-12 hours so long day but definitely worth it. The Cu Chi Tunnels were awesome, full of history with tunnels, bunkers and guns. The Mekong River Delta was a very cultural experience with bees, snakes, coconut products, fruit, musical performance and row boat ride.

My partner and I went on the Chi Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta tour with our guide Xem. We had a wonderful day at both. Xem was very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s a very big day but was provided lots of water, lunch and some delicious fruits. We would definitely recommend.

The trip was very well organised, lots of things to see and do. Lunch was included which was very good, also fruit and water. Our guide Xem and his driver were excellent, Xem’s knowledge is incredible we learnt so much about Vietnam and its culture during our trip. The trip is great value for money and we would highly recommend

It was a very informative tour about Vietnam’s past and way of life in the countryside. Lots of interesting facts about the country, its past and the people. Betty was an extraordinary tour guide. I would give her an A+. She called the group “Betty’s family. She made sure that everyone was safe and good the entire 10 hour trip. Dat, the driver, was very skilled at handling the intricacies of driving in Vietnam. I would highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed the Cu Chi Tunnel and Mekong Delta VIP Tour. Ni did a really great job with escorting us around ensuring we were well looked after ! Additionally It was an early tour which meant we also weren’t stuck amongst the crowds.
Well coordinated tour. Highly recommended.

Ni and our driver made for a great day trip to explore Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong delta. Very well organized, nice lunch, great explanation of Vietnam history and culture without over communicating.
