Activity- packed tour well- organized and explained by our tour guide Ele. We were taken to a village in Unicorn Island with their local crafts and food and music. We were offered lots of food, fruits and water. Had a full day with lots of memories,

We really enjoyed this tour and learned a lot! We were a bit apprehensive about the amount of driving but the bus was comfortable (although the back seats don't recline so avoid those if you can!) and there were toilet stops so the drives went quickly. On the way to the tunnels we stopped off at a shop to see artwork created by people who had been injured by landmines and the art was really beautiful and it was very interesting to learn how they make them. Then we went to the tunnels and our guide did an excellent job of explaining what life was like for those fighting in the tunnels during the war. We got to look around, walk through the tunnels and try hiding in one of the holes. Please be aware that the last 20 metres of the tunnels gets narrower! Then we had the chance to shoot some guns from the war for an additional fee. We almost didn't do this as she had said it would be a 30 minute wait but actually we were able to shoot straight away so we were glad we had decided to do it anyway! We also got to try the cassava that they ate for every meal. Our guide Chloe gave a good amount of information on everything although because we still had the Mekong to get to we were moved around fairly quickly. Before going to to the Mekong we had lunch which was delicious. The Mekong section of the tour was really fun - we took a boat to coconut island, saw how they made coconut sweets and tried some, then we drove through the village to a place where we could taste some home made chocolate, sample some fruits and watch some traditional singers. Then we got to take a short boat ride down a very quiet and peaceful part of the river. We really enjoyed this but we did find that we didn't get much information about what we were seeing after the coconut shop and it would have been nice to know more about life in the village and how they used the river. But overall it was a brilliant day and ran very smoothly.

We had an amazing day with Mr. Fa! It was a long day but he made it very enjoyable and memorable with lots of history, fun facts, and even personal stories that made the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta come to life. He was very friendly from start to finish and the vehicle transport felt luxurious! There were a few places to buy souvenirs, crafts, and snacks/treats and while Mr. Fa helped to explain each of them, he was never pushy. He was very accommodating to our group and took us through the Cu Chi tunnels, allowing us to stop and start at our own pace. We are so glad we went on this tour and cannot recommend it or Mr. Fa enough!

This tour was a highlight of our holiday. Phil was our tour guide and he made the tour with his wealth of knowledge. I would definitely recommend this tour and paying for VIP as there is a fair bit of travelling. A big thank you to Phil and the driver (I am sorry I have forgotten your name). We chose this tour in order to see both Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta, but in hindsight I think I would have done just the tunnels - it was a VERY long day, and I feel like the Mekong Delta portion of the tour was very touristy. Our guide Dat was fantastic and full of information about everything - not just about what we were seeing, but Vietnamese pronunciation, funerals, you name it! The tunnels were fascinating (we did not do the shooting), and the lunch afterward was very good. The Mekong Delta portion just let me down a little as it seemed to be very touristy (I know, we’re tourists, but…), and not worth the extra hours in the car. I’d still recommend the tour if you want to see that area, though.
