We create a filled hand made pasta called Culurgiones a traditional sardinian main course. Making pasta is very simple but when is come to close a culurgiones in a perfect way is a challenge! We start making pasta and cooking vegetables and then you will be baffled while learning how to stitch the Ogliastra culurgiones, an incredible technique to sew up fresh pasta with the filling inside using your hands. the all together we prepare teh table, with a glass of red wine we are ready to have a Perfect Sardinian Lunch. We will serve lunch with a glass of red wine, bread & cheese.
Anytime thies event become a cooking & family party where people feel at home and we like that!

Once upon a time, Sardinian's Mothers used to cook all day the hand made pasta called "Culurgiones", making pasta togheter while tomato souce and the potato start to boil. We want to share this ancient tradition, for one day getting hands-on help preparing a sunday's lunch. We start preparing pasta, while potato and souce are cooking. We use only durum wheat flour from Sardinian Local Producer and all the ingredient are from local farmer (potatoes, mint, cheese). We set up the table and after that we are ready to lunch, with a glass of local wine, some appetizers our culurgiones.

We were a group of five international students that participated in Damiano’s cooking class in his mother’s appartment in Cagliari. He led us in a very friendly and instructive way through all the phases of making culurgiones. After which we had a lovely dinner where the results of our joint efforts disappeared into our stomachs along with a local wine, coffee and various liquors with tastes from berries picked in the Sardinian forest. Can strongly recommend this experience!

Damian was so hospitable, kind and hilarious! Our group of six had a wonderful time. Not only did we learn to make and feast on a Sardinian specialty, but we also were able to try some amazing local wines.

Amazing experience with Damiano and his companion. They showed us how to do traditional Sardinian pasta and it tasted delicious - especially the ones with tomato sauce. The only thing to critizise would be that everyone creates their own filling „seasoned as you like it“ - only for all the pasta to be mixed and served to everybody. Especially for people who don‘t like cheese as much, this leaves a little dent in the otherwise flawless lunch. Still, I would recommend the class anytime.

This class is an absolute must when visiting Cagliari! Damiano was incredibly welcoming and a fantastic instructor. Even with a group of eight, he gave personal attention to everyone and guided us through making culurgiones step by step. By the end, you’ll leave not only with a new lifelong skill, but also with a very full and happy belly!

The highlight of any cooking class is always the bonding that occurs while eating a community meal around a large table. However, this entire class was a pleasure! We enjoyed a warm welcome from our hosts, had outstanding instruction on the preparation of the dumpling dough and stuffing, and shared a lot of laughs throughout. We had a lot of fun, and highly recommend the experience!

Damiano Hosted this class and we were warmly welcomed into his home. We made pasta with his patience and tips. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommend this class. Afterwards we ate together as a group, experiencing local cheeses, wine, our group cooked pasta dishes and finished with a digestive made with local berries. We had a very lovely group of people of mixed ages, so just try this lovely experience.

10/10 experience today. Learned so much, ate great food and made new friends. Rey hands on cooking experience. Professional, clean, educational and epically fun. Must do activity in Cagliari.
