Saluda
A 35 minute drive southeast of Asheville will take us to our first stop, Saluda. It is a charming mountain town with a population of just 700. As you stroll down the picturesque Main street, you discover a delightful array of long-standing restaurants, unique shops a free mueum in the old train depot and several vibrant galleries. Since its establishment in 1878, Saluda has been a favored destination for mountain tourists. The one-street downtown has preserved its historical charm, with many of the buildings recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. One of these is Pace’s General Store, an old-fashioned hardware and general store founded in 1899, which was featured on “Our Vanishing Americana.”
Pearson's Falls Glen
Pearson’s Falls is a picturesque 90-foor waterfall nestled in the heart of Saluda, surrounded by a botanical preserve comprised of over 310 species of plants and wildflowers. Take a leisurely stroll along the ¼ mile trail to view the falls. This stop can be replaced by another if the weather is foul or guests do not want to walk the trail.

5.00A Perfect Personalized Day in Asheville! Just returned from a short trip to Asheville with two friends, and instead of renting a car we decided to book a private, personalized day trip with Outta Asheville. Best decision we made! From the very beginning, Jacque was wonderful to work with. She promptly provided multiple itinerary options based on our interests, including restaurant suggestions and menus so we could plan ahead. She arrived right on time to pick us up at our hotel, and immediately made us feel comfortable and taken care of. Our day included a relaxing walk through the Arboretum, a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visits to Pisgah Inn, Brevard , and Hendersonville. Throughout the entire experience, Jacque was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and seemed to know exactly where to take us to make the most of our time. Her van was stocked with thoughtful provisions, and she tailored the day to our interests and physical needs without us ever having to ask twice. She was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with — warm, friendly, professional, and so accommodating. We highly recommend booking with Outta Asheville and letting her do the driving, planning, and navigating while you simply enjoy the views and experience. There wasn’t a single negative thing about our day. Truly excellent! Would book again in a heartbeat!

5.00Asheville is OPEN! I waited 2 months to write this review. My husband and I took the tour with Jacque of Outta Asheville on Monday September 23rd. We got back home the 25th. Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina September 28th. Almost 2 months later I checked in with Jacque to see if tours have started back up and, yes, while things are different, Asheville is open. I will not write in detail about the exact excursion we had because it does not exist anymore. I can share the way we were pampered by Jacque. Jacque and I texted back and forth before the trip to make sure the trip had the highlights we were looking for. We enjoy visiting local breweries and seeing the highlight of what makes where we are visiting unique. I am a klutz so no dangerous climbing and nothing to do with water involved. We are not too big on shopping. Jacque understood the assignment and our day was uniquely ours. Jacque arrived to the minute to pick us up. Her tidy and clean small van was stocked with drinks, snacks, umbrellas, maps and tour information. She went over the agenda for the day and we began our day of being chauffeured thru beautiful North Carolina. Jacque gave updates on where we were and gave highlights on the area. The day was planned so the drive was interspersed with walking in both small towns and out in nature. We stopped to get photos at all the best photo stops on the drive. Jacque took great photos with both of us in the picture! My husband was thrilled that almost each stop had a brewery to visit if he was interested. Jacque knew when to stick by our side and when to leave us to wonder around by ourselves. She had her favorite reading spots near the van so we could find her when we were done 'touristing' the different stops. We ended up having such a good day that we were later arriving back to our hotel than anticipated. No problem! Jacque seemed to have enjoyed the day as much as we did. I heartily recommend a day of being pampered by Jacque of Outta Asheville. The day was the highlight of our trip.

5.00We had a private personal tour to explore the area which included Black Mountain, Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Had lunch at Louise’s Kitchen (delicious). Took a scenic drive on Blue Ridge Parkway. Absolutely gorgeous views. Our tour driver was Jacque who was absolutely amazing. My husband has trouble walking and we brought a wheelchair. Jacque pushed him everywhere and took care while I got to shop in Black Mountain. I would definitely recommend her for a private tour!

5.00Jacque was amazing, showing us multiple places throughout the area ensuring everyone had a wonderful time and experienced a variety of day trips! Asheville is beautiful, and it was so nice having our own personal tour guide! She made it so relaxing and fun! She definitely knows the best sites around the area! Would definitely go back!
