Don’t hesitate to book this tour as it pretty well sums up the point of travelling, we had a day of lovely conversation and touring that will live long in the memory. Thankyou Jordan and Viator.

We had a fantastic day trip to Kosovo from Skopje, seeing Prizren and Pristina (and a few other sites along the way). We learned so much about this amazing country in a short amount of time, but never felt rushed or overwhelmed. By the end of the day, Jordan (our guide) felt like a close friend. Would highly recommend this trip!

We had the privilege of spending two incredible days with our guide, Jordan. We have traveled to over 100 countries and 7 continents and our time with Jordan was one of the best we’ve ever had. Not only is Jordan a retired military officer, but also holds degrees in sociology and political science…so his knowledge on the complexities of the region are incomparable. Our first tour was the Skopje to Matka Canyon. Although it was a rainy day, Jordan did his best to be a ray of sunshine and provided detailed information about the history of the canyon/cave and frescos at the monastery. Prior to our tour in Macedonia, I had reached out to Jordan to ask if he also did tours to Kosovo and to our pleasant surprise, he did! So, we were fortunate enough to spend the following day traveling from Macedonia to Pristina and Prizren. We talked for over 10 hours as we visited so many sites and I could have picked his brilliant brain for 10 more. Not only did he share his gift of knowledge, he even went well above and beyond and helped us with an issue with our AirBNB host. I cannot recommend Jordan enough.. you won’t be disappointed!

I had limited time in Skopje so I took this tour on my own. It was Jordan and me in the car from early in the morning until very late at night. I think around 14 hours total. We made it to all of the places I wanted to visit in Pristina, Peja, and Prizren. Along the way Jordan passed on his nearly encyclopedic knowledge of history, culture, politics, and religion. He was as good or better than the local guides working in each of the Serbian Orthodox monasteries we visited. In the interest of time he often had to stick to the highlights when we were inside, and then continue as we drove between cities! It was a crash course in Kosovo, which required many supporting crash courses in Albanian migration, Yugoslavian history, Serbian religious iconography, and contemporary geopolitics, among others. Jordan is a rare gem among guides. He knows his subjects thoroughly, and is able to explain them simply. Difficult for me to recommend him enough.

Jordan was amazing. He picked us up at 8 am and we were off. His knowledge of the area is incredible and he was able to answer questions and tell stories about the history. He was open to whatever we wanted to do and was super helpful with any of our requests. We had a very windy but excellent lunch in Albania. I would recommend Jordan everytime!

Incredible day trip from Skopje, filled with detailed historical and cultural activities and information about Kosovo, Kükes (Albania), Macedonia, and the Balkan countries and language in general. Jordan was an amazing guide, and from the get-go you could tell he was experienced and loved his job. He was flexible in the programme, but we stuck to the normal itinerary.
