Azerbaijan recently started to became famous in winter category of tourism. The winter tourism complexes opened in Shahdag and Tufandag recenlty.

Mount Shahdagh is a mountain peak of the Greater Caucasus range, located in Gusar district of Azerbaijan, close to the border with Russia. The elevation of the peak is 4,243 metres above the sea level. Prehistoric cave dwellings have been discovered at the base of the mountain indicating habitation for over 9,000 years.

Shahdag Winter Tourism complex is perfect for beginner or advanced skiers. Your guide will help you get set up with your rental equipment and lesson (optional). This tour also includes sightseeing stops at Mestdergah waterfall and Qecresh forest

We went from baku all the way up to shahdag with artunj from Azerbaijan guides. Could not have chosen a better company. Artunj is just the nicest guy who made a very long trip very enjoyable! His friendliness and his knowledge compared with a good portion of humour made this trip one to remember. We had a wonderful lunch break on the way in an authentic Azerbaijanian restaurant and not some tourist rip off which made the whole trip even better. Thank you so much artunj for a wonderful experience!

We had an absolute blast of a time in Shahdag! A few hours drive away from Baku, it is a must visit if you love winter activities. The views are beautiful and there are lots of different activities to do from skiing to paragliding but I’d recommend the Shahdag Coaster the most! It is a must do that you shouldn’t miss! We took a day trip, however you can even stay there. If you’re going for a day trip don’t forget to take snacks with you because most of the shops there were overpriced as it’s a tourist spot.

Nice place. Also have lots of other activity. Must visit place. Good for children as well. Excellent value for money
