A diverse range well knows Kartli region of cultural sites, including several historical, cultural, and landscapes. Since the first half of the III millennium BC, the area dates from classical to medieval, including and altered several times. The region was the home of gods and their earthly embodiment – priests, chiefs, and kings. Every layer of the ground keeps a memory of epochs. The region was standing over the crossroads of cultures. The significance of this arterial road was connecting east and west. It’ rocky road still preserves a clear trace of wheeled transport moving here over centuries. The region was, from time to time, ruled by Mithraism or Zoroastrianism. Sovereign priests performed pagan rituals here. On this altar, they offered sacrifice, glorified female divinity, lighted holly fire. To be continued during the tour.

Dimitri - our guide was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative. This was my first time to Georgia and he provided a great introduction to a beautiful country. Really enjoyed the Stalin museum.

This was my second visit to Georgia, but first time doing a tour. I felt like it was the perfect amount of activities and sites for a day. Our guide Roma was very friendly and thorough. For my next trip to Georgia I would definitely book with Gamaejoba tours again!

Great day trip to see 3 main attractions. The caves are interesting, lots of walking up the mountains, so be prepared. Our guide, Mary was extremely knowledgeable. Stalin museum was an interesting surprise and lunch was delicious in very beautiful atmosphere-restaurant-room. Even soaking rain didn't spoil it.

The tour was rushed, our guide was not particularly interested in answering too many questions. When one of us actually had a fall due to slippery conditions, the guide barely bothered to check and did not even offer first aid. They also left the group to "explore" at the top of the caves and came down themselves knowing full well that the path was both confusing and slightly risky (especially in the rain). A few of us ended up getting lost on the way down and thankfully found another guide walking down with her group who helped us with the way. Our guide also responded irritably to questions asked by a genuinely interested senior person on the tour which discouraged us from engaging further. Finally, they swapped the last two items in the itinerary, which meant we only reached the Jvari Church after it had closed and so we could not visit it. Overall, not recommended compared to the other experiences we had on this tour.

Tota was a great guide. Very knowledgeable, approachable and smiling all the time. The entire itinerary was very organised and conducted smoothly. Enjoyed the delicious georgian lunch as well with the rest of the tour members. Would definitely recommend this tour.
