Arachova
Arachova is a mountain town and a former municipality in the western part of Boeotia, Greece, originally called Karyai (also spelled Caryae). Its name is of South Slavic origin and denotes a place with walnut trees. It is a tourist destination due to its location in the mountains, its traditions, and its proximity to the town of Delphi. Arachova has a panoramic view, uphill small houses, and the cobbled streets show a picturesque architecture. The town center includes a huge and steep cliff, the Bell Tower, covered with dense ivy. At the top of the tower is a large 10m height clock. Arachova is famous for its black wine, its "brusque", the colorful textiles, carpets and rugs, handicrafts, and woodcut creations as well.

5.00Our tour guide was AMAZING! He was so knowledgeable and thoughtful the whole trip. He taught us a lot about classical greek history and helped us really grasp Delphi/all of the sites. He was super energetic and you can tell he loved talking about history. We HIGHLY recommend him!!

5.00Fantastic tour with an excellent driver (just wish the seats were more comfortable!) We had a wonderful day tour to Delphi with our driver and guide, Spirros. He was absolutely fantastic—professional, friendly, and did an incredible job safely navigating and transporting us to all the different sites. The only downside to the trip was the vehicle. It was a Mercedes van with bucket seats, and for a 3-hour journey each way, the seats were very uncomfortable. You could not adjust them nor did they have arm rests. I really wish the company utilized vehicles with more comfortable seating for a trip of that length. That being said, the tour itself was great, and Spirros truly made the experience wonderful. Highly recommend him as a guide!

5.00Delphi was incredibly majestic and definitely worth a visit. We spent 2 hours there, including the museum and hike up to the top of the archaeological site. Notis, our excellent guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about Greece. Smooth pickup from the hotel and each stop - Arachova, Delphi, and a restaurant, where Notis arranged a table with the best views. Last but not least, I left my sunglasses in his car and he returned them the next day!

5.00Panos was a fantastic guide. Super prepared and accommodating, he explained everything we wanted and more, and was very attentive to our needs. The sights were beautiful and he knew the best places (and angles) for photos.

5.00Great trip to see an important UNESCO site. Perfect for travelers who have a time limit, need flexibility and prefer a more unique experience. Our drive, Dmitri, was knowledgeable of the area and very accommodating. Remember that the drivers are not tour guides so be prepared to use the provided audio tour at the site.
