Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling! The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills before heading off on an open water dive. Your open water dive takes you as deep as 12 metres/40 feet! (Of course this depends on where you dive.)
You must check-in by 7:30. If you are late and miss the boat, a refund will not be granted.

Evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive
Diving within 18 hours of flying is not recommended. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
Must know how to swim
Please visits the PADI medical form. If you answer any yes to the following you will need medical clearance form your doctor.

5.00My husband and I went out on discover scuba with Captain Jay, Lola, Jose, Josh. The crew was fantastic. They were all friendly, fun, and patient. Lola was our scuba instructor and she was amazing. She guided us every step of the way. She made sure that we felt confident before moving on in either of the two dives. We always felt safe in the dive. The experience was amazing. We saw sting rays, turtles, crabs, eel, and beautiful fish. Lola was a wealth of knowledge and a lot of fun. Being on the boat was truly like being with family and made for an excellent day.
Top-notch instructors and a great all-around experience.

5.00A big shoutout to Luis, Jose, Carlos, Josh, Jonathan, Jay and the rest of the Sea Ventures team who led us on a great week of diving that included one daughter earning her Open Water certification, another daughter refreshing hers, and me completing my Rescue Diver certification. I’ve been diving all over the world (including with Luis 15 years ago) and never encountered a better, friendlier team. Just the right touch with my new diver! Thanks for everything.

5.00I am not certified, though I am very comfortable in the water and have done a discover scuba diving type class a few times before. The instructor I had was great, and everything went well during the training dive. On the fun dive, we saw a lot of animals, including a shark, three sea turtles that just hung out with us, and even a dolphin that started playing with us right at the end of trip. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you're doing the Discover Scuba Diving, it's not really a two tank dive. The first dive is only a short 10-15 minute training dive and you only use a small portion of the air in the tank. The second dive the entire tank is used. I think I'm going to get certified and do another trip with SeaVentures next year, so I get the full two tank experience.

5.00Had a great time diving the 2-tank Fajardo dice. Visibility wasn’t that great but there was lots to see. Turtles, rays, eels, giant lobster, octopi, grouper, pipe fish, and best of all, a playful dolphin that swam around us for at least 10-15 min at the end! Boat was very nice! Crew was amazing. There’s a bathroom on the boat. Snacks and drinks provided. Highly recommend!
Not great for novices.

2.00First off I want to say the majority of the staff was lovely & captain JJ was fantastic, super kind, knowledgeable & passionate. Unfortunately that is where the complements end. To begin you have to wait a while for your gear in this area where you will get eaten alive by bugs, so bring your bug spray! Check your gear, 3 out of the 4 of us needed our O rings replaced on our tanks. The cherry on top was Sir Jose P. This man is a piece of work. To begin with my partner was having a hard time getting into the right headspace to go down, this guy got in his face yelled at him to calm down and tried to forcefully drag him under. When my partner didn’t responded well to this he shoved him back on the boat and told him he couldn’t dive. I went down with the group but quickly got lost, there were no buddies assigned so I was stranded with no way to find the group. This instructor didn’t even notice I was gone the entire dive. I know this because he never surfaced to check for me and when he came back he talked to me like I was there the whole time. I would not recommend diving with Jose P unless you are a very experienced diver who gets impatient with the newbies like me who just need a few more minutes adjusting your ears or equipment. I will note the other instructors seemed more kind and considerate but I was not paired with them so I lost out. Lastly 2/4 of our group got full on vomiting sea sick so if you are sensitive prepare accordingly.

5.00Two tank, boat dive. First depth was about 65 feet and the second to 60 feet. It was pretty choppy that day but we still enjoyed the dives. Saw turtles, a sting ray, lion fish, spiny lobsters and lots of beautiful fish. The crew were all very attentive and helpful with the dive and getting set up. Would recommend this charter and company for next time.

5.00This was day one of our two days with Sea Ventures. Easy flow to get from check in thru equipment issue to the boat. Boat and dive equipment were in good condition. Plenty of crew to ensure safety and efficiency. The crew was upbeat and interactive with all the divers. A special shout out to our dive master Natalia. It had been a little while since we last dove and she went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and had a great experience from before water entry to after water exit on both dives. Definitely recommend diving with Sea Ventures when you visit Puerto Rico.
