Betty's Hope
Betty’s Hope was Antigua’s pioneer sugar plantation, founded about 1650. It is now in ruin, as so many other West Indian sugar estates. The founder of Betty’s Hope was Governor Keynell, whose widow inherited the estate upon his death in 1663, but was forced to flee Antigua during the French occupation in 1666. Today, though the project is still on its way to completion visitors can still view new and improved exhibits, follow a trail system to view the exposed ruins and the local flora, rest on the picnic benches, enjoy interpretive signage and self guided brochures for the full history of this monument.
Devil's Bridge
Devil's Bridge is a natural rock arch in eastern Antigua. It is located on the Atlantic coast near Indian Town Point to the east of Willikies. The area around the arch features several natural blowholes which shoot up water and spray powered by waves from the Atlantic Ocean. This particular location is exposed to waves that are pushed by the Trade Winds with no land between this location and Europe. In 2008 it was declared National Park.

3.00Make sure you get on the correct tour. Several were leaving at the same time. Our ticket was not checked and we ended up on wrong tour. It was quickly taken care of and we did get on our correct tour. The itinerary was great and we had a lovely tour of the entire island. Our tour guide was nice but he did not give us a guided tour of Nelson’s Dockyard or Betty’s Hope plantation . We were allowed to wander on our own but it would have been nice to have more of an explanation.

5.00Had an AMAZING experience with Kareem yesterday on our tour of Antigua. He was very friendly and so knowledgeable about the history of his country. He also told us about the typical foods that are eaten here and how to prepare some of them. Since we love trying new foods we were so appreciative of his culinary skills too! Kareem was a real sweetheart as he made sure the car was kept cold for us in between the stops as it was +33 degrees yesterday!! He also made sure we were well hydrated by providing us with ice cold beverages. Kareem asked us at the start of the tour if there was anything special we would like to do on our tour and happily stopped at a local store so we could buy a few souvenirs. We were back at our resort by 2:30 so we were able have lunch and sit on the beach for a few hours. Thank you to Kareem for making yesterday a special day we wont soon forget!! 😊

5.00My husband and I did this tour yesterday with Kareem. He was AWESOME! Super friendly and gave us a lot of really interesting information. He also answered any questions we had. He was also very accommodating at the beginning and said if there’s anywhere we want to go that isn’t on the itinerary, please tell him and he would make it happen. It also wasn’t too long, from 9am - 2:30ish pm, but that was perfect. Sometimes these all day tours can be exhausting, but it was the perfect amount of time to see what we wanted and still come back to our resort after and have plenty of daylight left to relax by the beach. Definitely would recommend!

5.00Loved every stop. Photo opportunities everywhere. Views are awesome. If you get close to the Devils bridge look out for water spray on your camera lens. Betty Hope has some good history to learn as well as Nelson dockyard, and some nice boats there too.

5.005 Kareem was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and personable! I highly recommend him and the tour! He gave us lots of information about the sites we visited and really went out of his way to help me and my husband enjoy our tour!

5.00We were met by Kareem who took us around Antigua and was very knowledgable and helpful throughout the day. We went to all the highlights including Bettys plantation, devils bridge, nelsons dockyard, shirleys heights and darkwood beach. It was a fantastic trip and Kareem made the day very enjoyable. Would highly recommend Kareem and this tour

5.00We were picked up by Kareem from our hotel and our first stop was Bettys hope, we also did Nelson’s dockyard, Shirley heights and Devils bridge. Kareem was amazingly knowledgeable and a great host. It is a private tour so you can basically go where you want to. Don’t hesitate to book.

1.00I paid $258 in advance. It was advertised to be $99, but magically it increased when I went to pay. Then they did not pick us up. After talking with the woman on the phone, we went back to meet her again, and again, no show. We need our money refunded.
