First of all, the experience begins with the boat transfer where the team will be happy to welcome you, at the reception pontoon of your hotel, or at the Vaitape quay. Once you arrive on the motu Taufarii, you will be given a fun introduction to the fascinating history of the Polynesian black pearl, and to pearl farming techniques. Then you will board the boat to discover, while snorkeling, near a coral garden, strings of oysters in their natural environment. The oysters are dived to a depth of 1 meter, and with the team, you will be able to browse the lines of oysters, and choose your own oyster to harvest! The luckiest among you may also have the opportunity to observe manta rays! Upon returning to the motu Taufarii, our team will proceed with you to open the oysters to reveal the precious black pearls! The experience ends with the tasting of local fruits and fresh drinks, in a sublime natural setting, with a breathtaking view of the lagoon and Mount Otemanu! Everyone will leave with the pearl collected, in a small sand bottle, or in a velvet pouch. And finally, everyone will be brought back to the meeting point.

Fun and informational. Our guide Manu is fantastic. Absolutely worth the money. It is great to be able to dive and pick your own oyster, special experience.

Great experience with the guide Manu. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic when explaining the pearl creation process. The diving part was also easy to do and fun. Would recommend doing this.

Wow, what a once in a lifetime experience. Manu and Tahi were amazing tour guides. Hilarious and informative. They made the whole experience extremely engaging and fun. Learning the hard work and process that goes into cultivating the pearls really makes you appreciate the experience. Watching everyone to see if their oysters had pearls in it was like watching a game show. Can’t recommend this tour any more! It was the highlight of our trip to Bora Bora!

We had a truly wonderful experience on the pearl farm tour! The entire team was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. What really stood out was how kind and patient they were with our young child. They took the time to help him snorkel safely and confidently, making sure he could fully enjoy the experience alongside the adults.
