There are few experiences as wonderful as enjoying the spectacle of animals in their natural environment and without a doubt being able to see dolphins and whales up close is one of the most impressive. Sometimes there will be a few and sometimes there will be thousands of them but it's always fascinating

On our excursions you can see from the small common dolphin to the largest animal that has lived on the earth; the blue whale. But you will also have the possibility to see turtles, flying fish and other marine species.

You can see the beautiful coast from another perspective and you will also have the possibility to swim in the sea if you want.

Explore the waters of Gran Canaria and discover the wonderful world of cetaceans. This island is one of the most important places in Europe for marine diversity, with around 30 species, including dolphins, whales, orcas and porpoises. These incredible animals breathe air, have warm blood and feed their young, making each sighting a unique and special moment. With two daily departures from Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, we depart at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm on a 2.5 hour adventure along the spectacular southwest coast of the island. Our boat, Spirit of the Sea, is equipped with a large glass bottom that allows a unique view of marine life beneath the waves. Our friendly multilingual team will accompany you with each sighting and provide you with information to recognize the different species. Although it is common to see dolphins, if in any case we fail to see them, we offer you a free pass to try again another day. Our mission is based on respect and care for marine life. We have the necessary permits from the Government of the Canary Islands and operate ethically to ensure the welfare of animals.

We first saw a small group with a species of dolphins, then we went further out and found a large dolphin family with 2-300 dolphins of another species, was so fun to see! Saw flying fish but unfortunately no whales or turtles, I would have liked that. But very worth going!

Very pleasant trip on the "Spirit of the Sea" in slightly rough seas. Good crew and free refreshments but sadly no sightings. A voucher was issued for a free return trip within 12 months which is great. Interesting or concerning no safety briefing was given and we we had no idea where the life jackets were located. Very unusual in my experience.

Friendly staff and great boatride! Unfortunately no dolphins showed today but they gave us a refund valid for 1 year which is great. They tried as hard as they could to find them but were spotted further out where the ocean was to rough for the boat. Clean boat and friendly, helpful staff.

We joined the Spirit of the Sea for dolphin and whale watching and it does the job well. There’s no extra food or snacks, but honestly you don’t need it when sailing, so don’t pay more for other tours just because they offer food. The crew really tried to take us far out to find dolphins. We saw them, but from a distance. We also saw another species they called whales. They said they only come up for a few minutes, but my research later showed that’s not fully accurate. Still, it was lovely to see them in the wild. Overall, a simple and good tour if your goal is just to spot dolphins and whales.

A great experience. Unfortunately, we have only seen a few dolphins, but that is just nature. Hopefully we'll see more next time.
