Lake Malaren
From Stockholm City Hall, we board a ferry for a scenic cruise across Lake Malaren to Drottningholm Castle. During the voyage, we enjoy a picturesque view of small islands, fishing settlements with typical Swedish colorful wooden houses.
Drottningholm Palace
Located on the island of Lovon ,15 km west of Stockholm Drottningholm Palace is the official residence of the Swedish family since 1981 . The Castle ( Drottningholm) is listed on Unesco World Heritage and one of the best presered royal palace built in the 17th century . Also we admire the interiors of the Palace designed by French arch. Nicodemus Tessin in Rococo style.

1.00Tour guide helped us arrive before the cruise crowd via taxi and got us through some of the castle before the crowds which was nice. Information was interesting and personal. The one star is for the price. Save your money and buy your own tickets for the ferry and castle admission. Meal was not provided for us so don’t count on it.

5.00The residence of the royals of Sweden overlooks Lake Malaren and enjoys a beautiful well-kept and drivable park! The visit includes two floors of the palace, one wing is reserved for the current apartments of the monarchs. During the visit you will trace the history of the palace, built in 600 ', and the rulers who lived there. The palace is equipped with a library established since 700 'and a beautiful hall with portraits of all the rulers of the nineteenth century in Europe, including King Victor Emmanuel II and King Ferdinand of Bourbon! At the bottom of the park there is also a Chinese pavilion and a "confidens" room, used by the rulers in the summer season! The visit lasts about an hour and a half and is worth doing!
