5.00We had an amazing experience with our driver (forgot his name) and tour guide, Tony. Tony was incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated. Driver is solid and pickup was right on time, and the entire trip took about 13 hours from Cancun, with roughly half the day spent driving (take travel pillow) . It was absolutely worth it to visit one of the 7 New Wonders of the World—Chichén Itzá. We spent around $120 USD (converted to pesos) for two people on extras such as tips, umbrellas rentals, drinks at the buffet, refreshments at stops, souvenirs, life jackets and locker rentals. Be sure to pack swimsuits, towels, slippers and snacks. The schedule is very strict, so staying on time after each stop is important to keep the tour on track. Thankfully, no one in our group was left behind, though we heard that it happened to others the day before. The cenote was a blast, Chichén Itzá was breathtaking and while the buffet was average, the overall experience was unforgettable.
