This 6 to 8 hours, Dhofar mountain safari tour, will take you to a magical journey to the Eastern side of Salalah, where one of best landscape of the Middle East awaits you.
Taqa Castle is one of Dhofar’s most distinguished landmarks, which was built in the 19th century. Taqa Beach and Taqa city will also be covered in this tour. Koofan House and Burj Al Askar are also in Taqa.
The most popular valley of the Dhofar Region, Wadi Darbat will be your main stop. Here you will be seeing the seasonal waterfall, a spring where you can do boating (kayaking/paddle boat/motor boat) overlooking the mountain of Jabal Qara series.
Visit Tawi Attair (bird well) sinkhole.
Jabal Samhan is the highest point in Dhofar, which is above 4000 feet. From here the view is amazing and if you are lucky, you will see mountains passing below you.
Anti Gravity Point and Wadi Hanna (baobab trees) also covered in the full day safari.
Visit Mirbat Sand Dunes at the beach.

Although Taqa is famous for its castle but Taqa has a great beach also and is a great spot for birds watching. The view of Taqa city is great from the beach side.
This is old house, entrance inside is optional if you want to pay. It is good from outside as well. The place has a souvenir shop as well.

5.00I had such a beautiful experience with this tour, and I want to especially thank rabeea for her kindness and support. I contacted her at the very last minute, and even though they normally don’t take last-minute bookings, she made it happen for me with so much care and understanding. She truly saved my day and made my solo trip feel safe and supported. I really appreciate her thoughtful communication and the way she handled everything so smoothly. 💛 A special thank you to Abdullah, our guide, who carried such a calm, warm energy throughout the day. He explained everything beautifully, guided us with patience, and made the journey feel relaxed and meaningful. His presence added so much comfort to the entire trip. It ended up being a small group of three, and the whole day felt personal, peaceful, and memorable. I’m truly grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and effort from both rabeea and Abdullah. 5.00We had a great and very entertaining trip with our driver Abdullah who gave us lots of information and allowed us to spend ample time in the various locations. The only downside was some confusion about the Mirbat sand dunes which was one of the main reasons this tour was chosen but we were told towards the end of the tour was not included. Either the itinerary is incorrect and needs updating or the driver was not aware of this visit but either way we didn’t go. Aside from this issue the rest of the day was great and I also spent the day with an amazing group of likeminded solo travellers

5.00Nice excursion today around Taqah. We visited the Darbat, Taqah Castle, Mosque and Hole Sink. Too bad I site Khor Roast was closed. Ahmed was very friendly and the vehicle perfectly comfortable. We recommend.

5.00I have the most memorable group trip with Beautiful Salalah Tours. They are good at handling time and managing the groups from pick-up to drop-off. All the spots are good for viewing and photoshooting. Although we are in wrong season that no water coming out from Dirbat Waterfalls, the tour is still so good that I recommend all of you to join. The tour guide - Ali Qahoor is super good and nice for everything. Please do not hesitate.

4.00I liked the trip,everyone should do it,because Wadi Darbat is an important place to see, it was nice and surprisingly green. Also baobab trees is something you could see on this tour,very unique trees. We saw many sites, visited many places,i was happy to get to know the country.
