Travel back in time with this excursion to Ephesus from Izmir. You will tour the vestiges of one of the most surprising ancient cities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
We will pick you up at the indicated hotel at 8:00 am and travel in a comfortable minibus to Ephesus, an ancient city located on the Ionia coast.
After a trip of an hour and a half, we will reach the site of Ephesus, one of the great tourist attractions in Turkey, since it is one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the country. Once there, we will take a guided tour of Ephesus to see some of its monumental jewels, such as the Library of Celsus, one of the most luxurious bibliographic archives of the Roman Empire in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Nearby we will find the Roman Theater. Did you know that it had a capacity for 24,000 people? It is impressive!
After the visit of Ephesus, we take a lunch.
On the other hand, you will also have traditional shopping opportunities for jewelry, leather, or ceramic centers.

5.00We really enjoyed our trip to Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis. Our guide, Elpe, was extremely knowledgeable and spent a large amount of the day giving us very useful information. The lunch was very enjoyable and the trips to the ceramic workshop and Turkish delight outlet were an added bonus. We really couldn’t fault the trip.

5.00The experience was well worth the price. Everything was communicated beforehand (including to prepare for the weather). The driver was on time (not super early), and picked up from my hotel. While the people in Izmir are very nice, the driving is a little terrifying but I did not fear for my life in the van once haha. Alphi was fantastic. He answered every question thrown at him and was able to answer. He provided an overview of Ephesus before we got to the site so he was able to show us what he was talking about beforehand. He showed us where to take pictures and explained things other tour guides were walking past. He even gave us a guide to Izmir and how to get around the best way. I have another tour booked for tomorrow to a different location and was going to cancel and rebook with the same company because of this experience but luckily it already was the same.
