We start by heading to Pisac, there we will first visit the archaeological site that is above the current citadel, where you will see large Inca cultivation terraces, the temple of the sun and one of the largest cemeteries of the time. Then we will drive you to the famous Pisac traditional market, where you will have time to walk around to enjoy the market, to do some shopping.

We will continue to the salt mines of Maras called “salineras”. You will be able to appreciate the magnificent landscape and learn how salt is extracted naturally just like the Inca ancestors.

Then we will go to Moray. Where you will be able to appreciate some Inca terraces in a circular shape, there are a total of 4 laboratories of which they are enabled to visit.

Ollantaytambo is an Inca city built with huge stones. We will visit several sacred and religious sectors such as the temple of the sun and the temple of water.

This is a tour without a guide since you can visit the premises freely!

Pisac

The Pisac National Archaeological Park is made up of groups of archaeological remains, including platforms, aqueducts, roads associated with walls and portals, channeled watercourses, cemeteries, bridges, etc. The area covered by this group is 4 square kilometers in area. On this area are the ruins occupying the hills, they are presented forming groups of complicated arrangement, while in others isolated constructions of the other groups are noted.

Maras

Las Salineras de Maras is made up of more than 3,000 natural salt wells near the town of Maras. Each of the wells have a dimension of 5 square meters. The 3,000 pools are fed by an underground hypersaline spring that originated 110 million years ago during the formation of the Andes Mountains. Currently, these natural salt pools attract hundreds of tourists. The view that you get from this landscape is beautiful. The people of Maras market this salt, just as the Incas did hundreds of years ago.

Rubén was phenomenal! Very kind and made suggestions based on my interests on additional places to stop and visit. This is a self-guided tour with personal transportation - which was great to have a consistent mode of transportation to see some locations of the Sacred Valley (you will need to purchase a ticket for entry s/70 for a 2 day pass), the natural salt mines and also visited a cultural center as well as an animal sanctuary. You can find tour guides for fee at some of the sites. The tour does end in Ollantaytambo - I did need transportation back to Cusco and Rubén accommodated that for me for an additional fee. All communication with Rubén was in Spanish. Highly recommend!

Rubén was very kind, well-disposed, flexible and very punctual. He showed us the route in a warm, respectful and cheerful way. We visited Chinchero, Maras salt mines, Moray archaeological site and Ollantaytambo. I would have liked to have had a little more time to explore Ollantaytambo and the Chinchero market, however, the tour left me very satisfied.

We have visited Calle Sagrado with Rubén, our very friendly, fun and helpful guide. He is an expert in the area and knows very well what and when to visit, and also finds the best places to take the best photos. He is punctual, with a vehicle in very good condition and always very attentive and flexible. I definitely recommend you for this and other tours in the Cusco area.

Excellent experience! The best way to get to know the Sacred Valley with a personalized tour. Rubén, the guide, is very friendly and cheerful, he was very patient with us and explained each place to us in detail. We visited Chincheros, Moray and Maras. He took some incredible photos of us and took us to eat at a very good place! I highly recommend it!
