  Our group Tour : 23 May to 1 Jun 2026 Location : Kashmir [ Srinagar-Houseboat, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Doodhpathri, Sonamarg, Srinagar-Dal lake] Group Size : 4 ladies [Age 58 to 67] Tour coordinated by Ms Yashima Syed [GT Holidays] Ground Support Staff for Kashmir : Mr Sahil [GT Holidays] Kashmir Driver : Mr Saqib from Naika Travels Thanks to ground staff Mr Sahil who constantly follow up every morning and evening. No general advice was given to us on making payment and giving tips to guides. When we reached Gulmarg, we were handed over to two strangers (guides). We 4 ladies felt helpless as the guides could not speak simple English and spoke either Hindi or Urdu. We use sign language to communicate. The Kashmir driver (Saqib) did not follow us. Initially he told us, he can park his vehicle at 2 places only, one at the designated parking lot at Gulmarg or at the Hotel only. He transferred us to the union vehicle drivers and said he is going back to his home at Srinagar. Shouldn't he be accompanying us, we understand he is only a driver but we 4 ladies, could not understand Hindi or Urdu. Wondering would he have sent his mum or sisters to someone who could not speak the same language. Only if the driver had accompanied, only if Sahil have briefed us earlier, we would have saved a huge amount and could have prevented being overly charged. We are truly thankful to have completed the ride quickly. Moving forward, it will be good to brief tourist in advance on the recommended amount to pay to the guides as well as giving tips. Kindly also ensure the guides could speak simple English so that tourist do not get lost and feel fearful. Primary care should be exercise to ensure tourist feels secured. At Pahalgam, 1 hour to Betaab Valley is insufficient , whether you walk by foot or take a pony ride, it is still not sufficient. 2hrs is good to Betaab Valley. Paying extra of IR400 after next every hour is daylight robbery. Union drivers can set their rule but it has to be reasonable. Tourist should not bear the cost instead the cost should be borne by Tour company. For all our other trips, ground staff Sahil helped us to negotiate with the union drivers as well as tour guides at Doodhpathri and recommended a fixed amount to pay. Overall, Sahil assistance was great and truly satisfactory. *********************************************************************************************************** Kashmir driver, Mr Saqib arrived late on 23 May to Airport pickup without prior notice. This caused uncertainty for our group. A proactive update message would greatly improve coordination.” Saqib was thereafter punctual for all his pick-ups. He speaks very good English, knowledgeable about the local culture and suggested excellent dining options. He is humble, helpful and quick to apologize if there is any hiccups. Saqib displayed skillful driving , exercise patience, accompanied us to purchase most of the items and helped us on interpretation. He also recommended us to go for Shikara ride on our last day, which was wonderful. His service has tremendously improved, given a chance, he can be a reliable , helpful and caring driver. His safe driving and skillful driving techniques is highly commendable. Despite some hiccups, our overall experience in Kashmir was awesome and truly memorable. Ms Jey & Friends Singapore 5 Jun 2026

  A wonderful experience. Socotra is just as beautiful and dreamlike as I had hoped. 2Socotra team were great and always ready to accommodate any requests I had. Big thanks especially to Omar and Kamal who travelled with me all week. Many thanks also for good communications throughout, before and after booking - this was especially appreciated since I went to Socotra amidst changing regional dynamics which also affected the travel arrangements.   I had an incredible experience with the 2Socotra tour group during my eight day stay on the island. My tour guides were BC and Khamel who filled the days with adventurous activities that really made the time count and made delicious healthy meals everyday! They took great care of me & were very attentive. If you’re looking to be immersed in nature, be active, and connect with great people, this is the tour for you! Worth every penny

  An absolutely wonderful experience with 2Socotra in Socotra! Every moment of our journey with 2Socotra was amazing. We felt truly happy and excited thanks to the warm, enthusiastic, and attentive care we received throughout the trip. The guide was excellent, the driver was fantastic, and the cooking team was outstanding—preparing delicious meals that perfectly suited our taste. The vehicles were very comfortable and well maintained. The itinerary was well designed, interesting, and flexible, meeting all of our requests. A very special and touching moment was at the end of the tour, when the company surprised us with thoughtful farewell gifts: a beautiful Socotra cup, keychains, and a certificate. It truly moved us and made the experience unforgettable. 2Socotra is simply amazing! We highly recommend them and will always cherish this journey.

  This trip gave us such incredible memories. Although full-on camping felt a bit unfamiliar at first, the breathtaking landscapes and unique terrain of Socotra made us almost forget any discomfort. Even now, I still miss those nights falling asleep under the stars in Socotra. Seeing a sky full of stars every single night is something you just can’t experience in the city. A big thank you to 2Socotra for taking such great care of our group. The chef was amazing—four delicious meals a day, and every single one was fantastic. We’re also really grateful to our guide and driver for taking us across mountains and seas, teaching us Arabic and local dialects, and sharing so many stories about Socotra’s history.   Our trip to Socotra with friends was truly something special, full of simple, genuine moments that we’ll always remember. Everything felt smooth and natural, and we were able to just relax and enjoy the beauty around us 😍 I honestly wish I could relive this experience many times. The kindness and care from the team made a big difference, and it felt like we were in good hands the whole time. If you’re thinking about visiting Socotra, I really recommend it and going with such a thoughtful and well-organized team makes it even more unforgettable. • Socotra - one week guided (camping/tour), one week individually, from Hadibu.

  Finally I arrived in Socotra. Leaving behind the geopolitical turmoil, I will be met by guide Ali and driver/chef Kamal at the airport - we are about to start towards the northwest coast ... It's Ramadan. The first thing to notice: Religious rituals are taken seriously and practiced by the local population. Then it stands out: everywhere dirt. Waste and coloured plastic bags at every turn ... Suddenly in front of us: a car accident. I urge Ali and Kamal to go back. First aid. At the scene of the accident, I take care of the accidental automobile driver with Ali, while Kamal rolls out his carpet first, and prays. Then a local minibus drives by. We'll stop him. The men are getting out. Together we lift the vehicle lying on its side and put it back on the wheels. The victim is taken in a minibus - we drive to our first overnight camp on the coast. Picture-perfect area. Sunset. At the tourist groups next door, the power generators are turned on - they run all night, decorate the tents with flashing lights ... This is how the first day on Socotra went! I want to explore the island. Geographically, biologically and socially. Ali, Kamal and I found each other quickly. Mutual respect helps. The tour goes around the island. And over the mountain ranges. Kamal is a great driver (and good cook), Ali speaks excellent English and tries to answer my questions. And ask questions of your own. No taboos. Good conversations. I learn a lot, I don't rate anything. The week goes by, all the highlights are visited, I can hike a lot. And bathe. And eat well. Often also fresh fish, bought locally. In all places I come into contact with the local population, visiting schoolhouses, regional health facilities/hospitals, shops and markets. After this week I am invited to Kamal's house, meet the (male) half of his family. Hospitality! The second week I design individually, from Hadibu. Book driver/chef depending on the destination, but also immerse yourself in the social life in Hadibu. Meet interesting people. Feel strange, but safe. And stay in touch with Ali and Kamal. And Ahmed, the head of the agency, who always offers hand for my ideas/wishes. Conclusion: Socotra was something of a place of longing. In reality, this island is remote, dusty, with enormous development needs. And it's beautiful, always where no waste accumulates. - The island has a young population, and potential. If the policies of the Gulf states were with the people ...

• An amazing journey to another planet)

  Made an unforgettable journey in early March 2026. An amazing island like another planet. Beautiful landscapes with dragon and blossoming bottle trees, oceanfront with turquoise water and snow white desert beaches - a photographer's paradise. Lost villages with clay houses, goats and colorful inhabitants - it's as if you're in the past or on another planet. Very sympathetic, kind people! Smiling, cheerful and happy. A lot of fun kids who like to take pictures. The travel arrangements were very good. We've been secured plane tickets, visas for the island. Great guys - guide Ahmed and driver-chef Awohl did everything we needed - food, tents, and of course, interesting tours and stories about the island.   I had an amazing time with 2Socotra. Everything was perfectly organized. We had the best guide and driver we could ask for. Ahmed and Kamal took really good care of us and made our trip unforgettable.
