Why should you choose an old US Army Jeep used in the Vietnam War as a vehicle to explore around Phu Quoc island? + The first: Most of Phu Quoc island is the hills and the primeval forests. The roads are rugged and there are wild beaches. So using them, we can go to anywhere in Phu Quoc. One more reason is the old US Army Jeep is an Open Jeep, so when sitting on it, you can see all the surroundings easily. + The second: when thinking about this Jeep, then We will think about the Vietnam War directly - A fierce battle with many painful hurts. 5.00The Jeep tour was great and a lot of fun!! Our tour guide Jack was also fantastic. Would highly recommend! The tour lasts the whole day and returns you to your accomodation in time for you to have a rest and then go do your evening activities.
Uncle Jack - the Captain of the Jungle

5.00Jack (or as we later called him Uncle Jack) picked us up. He drove us to the Silk factory, Pepper farm, took a boat with us to the Starfish beach, drove through the jungle - the whole deal. If you want to visit specific places, you could ask your guide to bring you there, but if you don't - they will take you to all the cool places. Jack even let me drive the jeep for a good portion of the jungle. Also, the jeep had coffee, beer, water or anything else. Truly an incredible experience since we got the opportunity to learn more about the things that most travellers just miss. Jack, being a true local helped us navigate, told us awesome stories, gave us a complete background for the jeep and the war, suggested cool activities to utilise our time during the remaining time on the island. After the Starfish beach Jack treated us to a local dinner and we went back home. The last 30 min of the trip we experienced the true heavy rainfall on the island so came back completely wet, but me, my wife and our two daughters loved every minute of the trip (total trip was around 5 hours). Jack even ran to the reception to ask for an umbrella for those last couple of moments before we depart. Small little things made this trip worth every penny. Thanks Jack, we won't forget the trip! And thanks for being personal and sharing your story with us.

5.00Great experience driving through the jungle, eating near the shore laying out on the beach and swimming in the ocean! Our tour guide Tong was extremely friendly and had so much knowledge about Vietnam to offer!

4.00Walking across the markets gave a good insight to real market situation; street food and coffee was ok; dinner at the restaurant was average. All in all: good tour, could have had some more special food delicacies typically for the region. The bar at the end of the tour was perfect with a great drink and an stunning view over Duong Dong.

5.00We went as a family of six so that required both jeeps. The hosts were absolutely amazing and can speak very good English. My wife, son and daughter all got a chance to drive the 70 year jeeps through the national park, they absolutely loved it. The food was great at the floating restaurant followed by a short boat trip to star fish beach. Be aware of the other jeep tours, the others are not genuine and do not speak English. This tour has genuine war jeeps. We had the best day out. Thanks again.
Great Day Tour with Me Tong on Phu Quoc

5.00We did the tour together as a couple and were picked up directly from our hotel. Our guide that day was Me Tong, and we first visited a local fishing village before heading into the jungle. We made a short stop there and then continued by boat from the jungle to Starfish Beach. Me Tong was a fantastic guide — he showed us a lot about Vietnam’s history, including a beautiful temple. He spoke excellent English, was very friendly, and shared a lot of knowledge and experience about the country and the island. We ended the day with a visit to a pepper farm, which was a perfect finish to an already amazing experience. Driving through the jungle in a 70-year-old Jeep was, of course, a truly unique adventure. It was an unforgettable day full of great memories. Thank you so much, Me Tong!

5.00We had a wonderful unique experience with travel guide, Jack! First, we were introduced to Jack via WhatsApp the night before, which made us feel at ease that we could communicate prior to the trip. Jack collected us, a family of 3, from the South, and the trip to the north was comfortable, and super informative. Jack is very knowledgeable, speaks great English, and could answer all our questions. The highlight for me was seeing Cambodia from the cape and driving through the jungle, my daughter was swimming with the red starfish, and my husband was having a drive of the 1950’s Jeep! Overall, would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a unique travel guide experience while still ticking all the boxes. Also, lunch was delicious at the floating fishing village, the scallops a must.

5.00We had a fabulous day out with Jack, hes happy smily and informative clearly loves what his job. Even had a smile on his face when the road was blocked by a fallen tree in the forest and he had to spend 15 minutes in the pouring rain chopping the tree to clear the path. Personally I found starfish island a little sad it is beautiful but all the tourist picking up the starfish for photos and then just throwing back in the water with no thought to the animal . Lunch was delicous ... highly recoommend.
