After its birth in the 1840s, and especially between 1866 and 1890, drovers ran millions of cattle through Fort Worth on to the Red River, winding their way north to the rail heads in Abilene, Kansas via the Chisholm Trail.You will feel like you go back in time and wetness Daily Longhorn Cattle Drives. You and your small group will depart from JFK memorial in Dallas to begin your 4.5-hour tour with a historian as your guide. Reach back into the past, when cowboys would stop at Fort Worth’s “Hell’s Half Acre” to rest and relax.

The tour guide will make this tour.....need to make sure you get a knowledgeable one (Danny is very good) - our guy reverted to playing a lot of audio tapes and music about the old West on the way there and back vs talking. Not a fan.

Driver made tour more interesting as fair amount of driving time. Enjoyed learning the history of Fort Worth and Kennedy tie in.

It is a throwback to the times in the past when it was a big cattle town. Loved the cattle drive down the streets. Real longhorns have "real long horns"!

Nice to see old town with lots of good old buildings.historical buildings are really good. 4 o clock show we should not miss.guide was really friendly and explained everything well.
